Long-billed Curlews, Roseate Spoonbills, and American Avocets were just a few of the highlights of the trip. Spring is a great time of the year to view a variety of shorebirds and seabirds on the Georgia coast.

January is always boat maintenance month, and this year, the Low Country Queen made a trip down to Trident pontoons located in Tavares Florida where it was built in 2016. They will be making some nice upgrades to the boat and it will be getting fresh power. Robbie Cunningham and his team at Trident Pontoons have one incredible facility and build a great product. Looking forward to seeing how this ole’ girl looks when she returns home to the Hampton River here next month!

A brisk late December morning did nothing to slow down this crowd! Coastal Exploration Camp lived up to its name as this group of young explorers identified over 40 different species of coastal flora and fauna. Dolphins, bald eagles, and horseshoe crabs just a name a few. Throw in a scavenger hunt and a boat trip to a local sandbar and this camp was a great way to wind up 2024!
