Hello friends! There is a benefit tonight at Half Penny for a deal friend, Brandon Swarthout, who has been battling Kidney failure since the onset of the Covid Pandemic. The financial costs to keep him alive and on the transplant list have nearly decimated his bank account.
He is trying a hail mary attempt to get the kidney he desperately needs to stay alive by moving to Las Vegas, where his odds of receiving this life saving kidney are better.
This benefit is to raise funds to help him move from Miami (where he had to go to get a kidney originally) to Las Vegas.

Love this!

David Hampton planted douglas fir and larch trees in a forest in Oregon to resemble a face. Every autumn the larch pines turn orange and the smiley face stands out.
The face is about 300 feet in diameter

I can't believe the vile insults and lies that are being heaped on Rep.Paul Holvey, by a lobbyist no less, who's upset a bill didn't go his way.
Paul is union, pro worker, always has been. Environmentalist, consumer protections, workers rights and more. He ended grass field burning in the Willamette Valley, kicked out the Payday lenders in Oregon, raised Oregons minimum wage, overtime pay for seasonal workers, and paid family leave, prevailing wage, solar on public buildings, and too many more great bills to list here.

THIS IS RETALIATION! Stop these bullies from removing our voice! Paul is our champion and has spoken up too many times to count, for us, the people! Not the special interest groups and corporations.

This is a waste of our public resources and funding. We need Rep Holvey to be able to focus on doing the good work and not fighting to protect the position that we elected him to.

Is this the way we're going to elect our representatives? This recal effort wants to use our tax dollars for a special election that would cost us $65,000 and would likely have a low turnout? And for what? To try to oust a valued leader and silence a voice of the people.

We must get the truth out there and put this recall in the rear view mirror for Paul and for all of us!

Paul has represented District 8 since 2004, earning him a reputation for standing up for working Oregonians. Say no to the reckless recall!

It is long overdue to amend trade practice regulations.

Stop the bribery and monopoly in the wine industry.

Its time to get back to protecting and supporting small businesses.
Oregon is home to hundreds of small production, boutique, or micro wineries that make some of the best wines you've ever tasted in your life! If they never have a chance to be shown in the fine dining restaurants or wine shops, then can't survive without a thriving tourism industry or strong Marketing / DTC (direct to consumer) programs.

Spent the afternoon wine tasting and celebrating the engagement of Tim and Emily from Texas!. The weather, the locations, and the vibes made for a perfect day! One of our guests, Newt, works at a winery in Lubbock, TX called Llano Estacado and his excitement at visiting the Willamette Valley was an absolute joy to watch! The conversations we all had in the van were lively, hilarious, and at times thought-provoking. Wished I could have spent the week with this crew!

Newt started the day by shouting "Wine Day!" and what a day it was!!!
