The 18th annual Salem Film Festival will be taking place this week from March 27-30, 2025! This international documentary film festival is the largest in Massachusetts, centered around community building for filmmakers and film enthusiasts. Several filmmakers travel from across the globe to participate in the Q&A’s, premieres, screenings, parties, and other social events. SFF aims to spark meaningful conversation with their focus on nonfiction storytelling from all over the world. Tickets for this unique and eye-opening experience are available for purchase online.

Explore the elegance of the Hawkes House, a stunning example of Federal-style architecture designed by renowned architect Samuel McIntire! 🏛️ Originally commissioned by Elias Hasket and Elizabeth Derby in 1780, the house remained unfinished until shipbuilder Benjamin Hawkes acquired it in 1800. With its beautifully carved details and classic three-story design, the Hawkes House reflects the rich architectural heritage of Salem in the late 18th and early 19th centuries.

Upcoming event: Salem's So Sweet Chocolate and Ice Sculpture Festival

From February 7 - February 9, enjoy sweet treats, magnificent ice sculptures, games, live music, and shopping just in time for Valentine's Day! The Kickoff fundraiser event on February 7 will supply guests with a souvenir glass, wine, and other goodies before the fun begins! Although the ice sculptures are free for everyone to enjoy, the Kickoff is not, so be sure to book those tickets in advance!
