Brooks Roadside Gallery
Many decades of Colorado photography is represented at the Brooks Roadside Gallery, 16550 West US Highway 50, outside of Salida, Colorado, owned by photographers, Lenny and Gail Brooks. You can also view their work online at online at brooksphotography.com.
Colorado native, Lenny Brooks, has been photographing the Rocky Mountains all his life. After studying photography and journalism at Colorado State University, he honed his craft at the Steamboat Pilot newspaper where he worked as a writer and photographer for 8 years. Lenny’s thought provoking, “artography” always has a message. Living next to Rocky Mountain National Park provided many opportunities for photographing Moose and Elk in their natural habitat.
Gail Brooks is a photographer, a potter, a jewelry designer. She also dabbles in watercolor and acrylics and then mixes it all together. Her Spirit Pots are inspired by the colors and geology of the earth. Gail also creates a line of semi-precious gemstone jewelry. From the more than 30 years of hiking in the Rocky Mountains and her travels abroad, she displays photographic expressions on the walls of the Brooks Gallery.
