Entry Level Job as lineman, with a chance to learn skills that can build into a high paying career as an aircraft mechanic. Pay starts at $15-$18/hour DOE. Year round position. Expect 35-40 hours/week.

Your main job duties will include fueling, cleaning, and reconfiguring aircraft, and helping maintain fuel trucks. You will also shovel snow in winters, mow lawns in summer, help keep shops clean, etc. Summers will include some Saturdays and Sundays.

This spring is a good reminder that you never know what a season will bring. Later than expected snow has kept the road closed, and here we are again, unexpectedly flying full trips in to the Middle Fork for our outfitters and private boaters.

We’re thankful for the crew we have, and looking forward to the day that road clears for everyone. Till then, full steam ahead!

The water is low, fires have closed Boundary, and we’ve flown over 100,000 pounds of gear into the backcountry to support our outfitters since Aug 1. And that doesn’t include guides and guests.

I’m not sure we can express enough appreciation for everyone on our crew- pilots, line staff, maintenance, office staff. That many gear loads make for hard work and tight schedules. Everyone is working their tails off, and we’re doing a great job. Thanks, team.

Gem Air runs frequent flights out of the Boise Airport June through September, and we are looking for someone to help us at our Boise office this summer.

The primary responsibilities are greeting passengers before their flight, being proactive in keeping passengers informed about changes to the schedule, weighing and organizing bags for pilots, helping load bags, and cleaning the check in counter area after each group has gone through. Other duties as required.

You will receive $10 each time you go to the airport to greet an aircraft, + $10/ aircraft you meet, which means that you will almost always get at least $20/show. Sometimes there will be 1 airplane in a day, sometimes 7 or more.

The schedule is highly variable. About 40% of your flights will require you to be at the airport in the morning, sometimes as early as 5:30am. Another 55% will require that you be at the airport starting around 1pm. The remaining 5% will be somewhat random.

We'd like to hire two people to do this, so that we have someone available every day. Each person will have dedicated days on call, and designated days off, where we won't call them in. This is great part time position for someone who has flexibility.

Requirements:
Must have great customer service skills
Must be 18 or older
Must have a driver's license
Must be able to lift 50lbs
Must be reliable and able to work independently.
