Every Autumn we have tours based around the optimal time for the leaves changing color. We agree with our fellow travelers, it IS a pretty spectacular thing to experience. Every decade, a little southern Germany village called Oberammergau hosts the world to celebrate the Passion of the Christ. This tradition has been going on since the town's prayers spared the people from the horrific Black Plague. This 2020 year with our global pandemic was one of two times in history that interrupted this celebration. Hello from Dave & Melodie:
2020 has turned out differently than we all expected. Today is the day that we would have been returning from our annual trip to Peru/Machu Picchu (we had to use a pic from last year). We had so looked forward to traveling with many of you on lots of different tours this year. We, of course, have had to cancel virtually all tours from March-August but are hoping to start up again in September. We were sad to have to miss our trips to Africa, Europe, Norway, Hawaii, Alaska, Canadian Rockies, Oberammergau, England and many others - but most have just been postponed until next year, so rest up now and be ready to go in 2021! I've attached two pictures of hippos from last year's Africa trip - the sleepy hippo is in the 2020 Covid mode - just getting through it. The hippo in the other pic is the 2021 hippo, ready to get back out there. We are grateful to our many friends who have sent their "well wishes" and who have been flexible and resilient as we have gone through a challenging year. 2021 tours are booking fast and we hope to see many of you next year.
