This week, Dallas Stewart represented Christopherson at the Global Business Travel Association - GBTA Legislative Summit, where she, president of Utah Business Travel Association Melissa Johnson, and other industry professionals met with congressional offices to advocate for four critical initiatives that directly impact business travel:

✈️ Modernize air traffic control:
They urged increased funding to accelerate upgrades to the nation’s aging air traffic control system—essential for safety, efficiency, and capacity.

👨‍✈️Streamline customs and border processing:
They called for more staffing and advanced technology to reduce wait times at entry points and speed up visa processing for international travelers.

🌿 Support sustainable aviation fuels (SAF):
They championed continued investment in SAF, including expanded tax credit eligibility for farmers, to advance clean aviation alternatives.

🚆 Invest in high-speed rail:
They pushed for greater federal support and awareness for rail infrastructure improvements, including Amtrak, to offer more efficient ground travel options.

We're hopeful that members of Congress are receptive to these initiatives—because a stronger travel industry moves everyone forward. 💪
