Helsinki Christmas Market was a classic! So many wooden mugs, gnomes, and the first time I got frost bite on my thighs from wearing the WRONG THING. See how the Finnish do Christmas!
The Helsinki Christmas Market wasn't on my radar when I was taking a trip through Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia -- bottom line, it should have been. This Ch...

Estonia was one of those dream trips for me, where I was eating in a Medieval Tavern eating recipes that were concocted from the 15th century cookbook by candlelight with friends. To top it off I was there for my Birthday and couldn't have been more excited to be there, exploring Christmas Markets and UNESCO sites throughout Lithuania & Latvia.
This month and next month I'm going to share those videos, new Christmas market videos, and any tips/tricks for saving money this season, along with any deals that brands send through my inbox & sift through them for you so you don't have to waste that time. HERE IS TO ANOTHER YEAR OF ADVENTURES CULTURE TREKKERS! Hope you are all doing well! Let me know in the comments below.
Getting from Riga to Tallinn is a lot easier and cheaper than you would imagine. It is about a 10-min drive from the middle of the old town, they have movies...
Learned about the local remedies for hangovers, wrinkles, stomach aches and even how to enhance the “boongah-boongah jiggy-jiggy” - along with how they grow spices, a jungle song and dance, and a coconut man show, lol. Ya don’t wanna miss this one!

With the destination of Tanzania being known for its Safaris, the Scuba Diving Safari often gets overlooked. This is a GREAT THING for us divers though, to be able to see such rich diversity of coral, healthy eco & microecosystems at play. I went Scuba Diving with the African and Oriental Travel Company in Nungwi Zanzibar and had the time of my life. While there were a few wobbles along the way, visiting Zanzibar taught me a lot about myself and the world. There are some very important things you need to know before visiting, and this video is a bit special - in that I get pretty vulnerable with some of my mental health struggles. Get ready for some of the most incredible scenery and heartfelt conversations you've ever had.

I didn’t realize just how beautiful Zanzibar truly was with the crystal clear blue waters and the warm and friendly people. There are so many things to do in Nungwi Zanzibar like Snorkeling, Scuba Diving, Sky Diving, Seafood, and beautiful smiles quietly suggesting you ‘Pole Pole’ - just take it easy. This is what will greet you in Nungwi, but there are a few logistical, social, cultural and safety issues I want to mention before you visit. https://culturetrekking.com/things-to-do-nungwi-zanzibar
Scuba Diving, Sky Diving, and some of the most beautiful beaches and sunsets in the world. Let me give you a few other tips on things to do in Nungwi Zanzibar & safety tips.

From the Subway with the longest art installation to the parks in Stockholm- it didn’t matter where you went it really was so beautiful. One thing that did stand out though was that I did NOT see any trash laying around, or homeless people. While I may have had my tourist glasses on, it was something I didn’t realize til I got back home. What is the cleanest city you have ever visited?

Have you ever heard of the VASA Museum? It’s in Stockholm and houses an 18th Century ship that capsized on its maiden voyage and wasn’t able to be retrieved til centuries later with a diving dome…. The statues, cannons, all of it is in this museum and is a masterclass for patrons on the absolute skill it took to build it, but also the tomfoolery stupidity it took to sink it. It’s both educational and entertaining and worth a visit to Museum Island because it also has 70 other museums on the island which is owned by the Swedish Crown.

Swedish meatballs, Lingonberries, reindeer meat, hearty meals, fresh deserts are all samples of what you will find of delectable delights in Sweden. More and more I’m seeing many countries trying to resource foods locally & in more sustainably conscious ways. What is your favorite meal you’ve had abroad?

Stone town in Zanzibar is full of history dating back to the 8th Century. Hundreds of cultures make this place a melting pot of flavors, traditions, amongst beautiful beaches & Scuba Diving. I visited Stonetown prior to my Scuba Diving Tour with The African and Oriental Travel Company (stay tuned for that video) - they helped me have an amazing experience here & can’t wait for you to watch 🥰

Stockholm means “log island” which there are several islands that make up this city. Sigtuna was what the city was named about 1000 years ago. According to legend the leaders of this city had trouble with armed gangs attacking the city, so they took a log, hollowed it out filled it with gold and said that wherever it landed would be their new city. The log allegedly landed where it is today and that is how Stockholm came about. You can find a statue commemorating this log inside city hall. Planning to visit Stockholm soon? After touring Copenhagen, I decided to take a trip to Stockholm Sweden via the amazing rail system. I looked at flights and honestly it was so much cheaper and would have been the same amount of time (with all the waiting for the flight, baggage etc...) to take the train as it would be the flight. Stockholm was so charming, here is what to see in Stockholm Sweden in 24 hours - spoiler, one day is CERTAINLY not enough time to see what there is to see here.

The beautiful medieval city with the seven different islands that make up Stockholm - make exploring a bit like opening a present with each island you explore. If it is your first time, and only have 24 hours in Stockholm Sweden I would suggest starting out at Museum Island, then head to the old City Center Gamal Stan. Eat at one of the oldest restaurants in the world, then stroll through Stockholms beautiful gardens. Then take either a sunset dinner cruise, relax in a sauna, or take a ghost tour through town.
I’ll go into more detail of what to see in each of these areas below, how to get around town, and how to save money in this expensive but beautiful Scandinavian City of Stockholm.

It is an honor and privilege to serve the Veterans of our country. I work for the VA and their strength, fortitude, and kindness despite what war has done to them never ceases to amaze me. Thank you all for your service and may God bless you and your families.

Fredericksborg Castle and also a National History Museum for Denmark 🇩🇰- it has a moat, expansive throne room, and some of the most ornate ceilings I’ve ever seen (and I’ve been to A LOT of castles) #denmarktravel #travelblogger #thingstoseeindenmark
After 6 years of seeing this photo on my wall that was taken by someone else, I was finally able to visit Spirit Island in Banff and Jasper National Park. It was an emotional journey for me honestly, it felt like instead of just hoping that the battle in the mind would get better one day that this was the universe giving me a gift telling me I was almost over that mountain I’d been working so hard to get over. If you want to see the full journey & other unique things to do in Jasper National Park - watch it here https://youtu.be/nU1oGo-nr9k?si=of01t_3YB1EQXanj #jaspernationalpark #spiritisland #pursuitbanffandjaspercollection
Have you seen my most recent video on YouTube? It’s about all the best of Banff - mostly about the city of Banff and things & places that are close to the city and easy to access, places to stay that are budget friendly, fun places to eat that are recommended by a local, new announcements regarding parking in Banff and popular spots and a bit of an emotional bit from me about being there - ya won’t want to miss this one ;) Watch it here: https://youtu.be/0sJS25Zbv-c?si=Ui01OkKE6iG3azRP
Was so fun seeing these deer just mozy through town in Banff. Nearly snuck up right behind me and I didn’t hear them til a guy smiled and quietly said “turn around” - wish I could hear animals thoughts sometimes, or understand how they communicate anyway. #banff #itsnotchristmasyet #deer
Kotor Montenegro- a bustling coastal town, rich like it’s neighbor Dubrovnik from Maritime trade still hosts ships and passengers today as a popular cruise ship stop to see the castles, medieval churches, stray cats 🐈 and even a cat museum, as well as a maritime museum, delicious food, and a very romantic laid back vibe.
