How can you morn someone so much that you have never met?
I woke up this morning singing “Bama Breeze” to myself and vowing (one again) that this year would finally be the year that I make it to one of his concerts…then 30 minutes later I hop on social media and see that the great Jimmy Buffett is gone.
So I sat down and cried for someone I’ve never met.
Jimmy, I was introduced to your music as a teenager and it resonated in my soul. You wrote and sang the playlist to my life. You inspired countless island vacations and my forever beachy vibe (even though I live in the desert). Your music will forever play in my heart!!

The Mexican Black Bear, once almost eliminated from the Big Bend, started making their way back into the park in the 1980’s. Now bear sightings are a regular and exciting experience for visitors.

Dinosaur Valley State Park in Texas. Camping, hiking, exploring and discovery is a child’s paradise!! 🦕🦖

Know before you go:

⛺️ Book your camp site or day pass ahead of
time. Once they hit capacity no one else is allowed to enter.

💦 Take lots of water to carry while you are hiking

☀️ Wear sunscreen. The Dino tracks are in the river bed so you will be exposed to direct sunlight.

🥾 Wear comfortable shoes. You will be hiking up and down the river bank and across Unlevel bedrock.
