Last minute rv trip back out to and the weather was absolutely perfect, as always!

We also stayed before heading back and so glad we did! Luckily we were able to enjoy the pool before the storms rolled in.

PLEASE NOTE.
The Indian Lodge Loop Trail is CLOSED at the lodge. Trail head maps are not marked (at least not in mid May).

We started on the east side of the Montezuma Quail Trail and cont'd north on Indian Lodge Loop. It was only once we got to the lodge did we find out it was closed. We were able to walk through the fence at the construction site but other hikers were not so lucky. The hikers were trying to start at the lodge and were turned away by the workers.

Wow, what a great trip! From the views to the hikes to the food and the shopping; Sedona didn’t disappoint!

The place (pic 2) where we stayed had such amazing views👀, which made the coffee taste even better ☕️

Javelinas 🐗 were everywhere (pic 3)! They certainly were not bothered by us humans!

The hiking 🥾 was awesome! Sugarloaf Loop was easily accessible within the neighborhood but parking is very limited. Sedona View trail, which starts by the Airport Overlook, is one way to get to the Summit Trail that leads to the Airport Mesa View. For $3 you can park at the top, near the airport. Be warned, the Sedona View Trail is all downhill ↘︎ (pic 4). There are about 5 parking spots near the Summit Trailhead but those are almost always taken.

Mariposa Latin Inspired Grill (pic 6) is highly recommended! With views from every window, this place is great for catching the sunset! 🌅

Rascal Modern Diner is a great place for lunch! It is part of a resort but open to the public. Grill Cheese and tomato basil soup 🥫(pic 7) was excellent! The Ahi Tuna Nachos (not pictured) were amazing and can easily be shared between 2-3 people.

*We visited after the Christmas holiday and over New Years. I don't know if that was the reason but traffic getting in and out of Tlaquepaque was bad. Some nights we had difficulty finding a place to eat without a reservation or waiting 2+ hours for a table.

Another great weekend celebrating 100 years of Texas State Parks.

We had the opportunity to tour RV’s dating back to 1941 😮

I was SO excited to see and hear about each of the campers, that I forgot to take pictures 🙄

We caught this beautiful sunset 🌅 this past holiday weekend.

We hiked the 7.48 miles for about 3 hrs to see (part of) the Rio Grande.

We also saw a lot of desert millipedes 🪱Easily 5+ inches 😳

Amazing wines! Definitely a must try.

Jen Blossom is a part of Grape Creek Vineyards. Although they do not have their own tasting room (breaking ground in 2024) you can enjoy a tasting at their Grape Creek winery.

Tasting is a little pricey but the their wines are “Scary Good”! 😜

**Visits are restricted to members only or for tastings. You can no longer simply purchase a glass and enjoy on the patio. And, only service dogs are allowed.

Their hospitality is top notch! We were immediately greeted and served their amazing Apple Cider Donuts! 🤤
We enjoyed meeting Travis and Becca. Thanks for the insight and tour of your beer making process! Disappointed that we missed your Grand Opening!

I enjoyed their beer flight 🍺and my husband did the wine 🍷tasting. And, we enjoyed them both equally! Definitely something here for everyone. Looking forward to tasting your cider!

🐾Dog friendly too!
