Had an absolute blast with some amazing friends today! We got on a great red drum bite that was nonstop action most of the morning, with about 25-30 throwbacks and 5 nice eaters for the cooler. We switched up to catfish for the last 30 mins and landed 3 nice blues before calling it a day!!!

Beautiful weather and great fishing with Rene and family! Today was all about getting the kiddos outdoors and making some awesome memories. It was a lucky day for a lot of fish as the kids decided to release some nice eaters as well as some smaller ones, and keep just enough for some dinner. They even helped clean and bag the fish after the trip! Thanks again for joining me today!

Had a blast fishing with some awesome friends today! We started the morning looking for reds first and couldn't seem to get them to bite. So we switched to blue cats and landed 5 nice ones while we waited for the bite to pick up. Once we headed back, the reds turned on and we had an excellent time casting artificials! We caught a ton of smaller fish that were released for another day and landed some beautiful reds for the cooler!!! A lot of laughs and good times had by all!!!!

Another beautiful day on the water with this awesome group!!! We spent most of the morning casting artificials and landed a lot of smaller reds with 4 nice keepers in the mix! The youngster, Gage was determined on casting his own baitcasting reel and trying out different baits/techniques and was really impressive for his age!!! We switched it up and found a nice school of blues the last hour, landing 10 nice ones for the cooler and closed the trip out with a triple-up!! Outstanding time on the water today with Freddy, Fred, Noah, and Joey!!! We did a little bit of everything, from running bait to casting artificials and put together a nice mixed bag of fish!! Noah (the youngest) landed a beautiful 20lb blue cat and his grandfather, Fred, caught his first ever red drum casting an artificial bait! Freddy landed a nice bonus carp (that'll be used for bait), and Joey caught a nice channel cat on his first cast with a rattletrap! A lot of great memories made for sure and always looking forward to our next trip!!!

James wanted to spend his 50th Birthday today fishing Braunig lake for some reds and I was more than happy to make it happen!! We had to battle through a lot of undersized fish and very hot weather, but we had a memorable day fishing with his family!!! Thanks again for joining me today on your special day! Happy Birthday!!!

Truly a very special trip yesterday working along side Combat Marine Outdoors 501c3 Non-Profit and San Antonio Coalition for Veterans and Families - SACVF!! We had the privilege of taking Mr. Craighead, a 99 year old WWII Airforce Veteran and Bill, an 88 year old Army Veteran out on the water, sharing stories and making memories! Words can't describe how awesome this trip was, and it's definitely one I'll never forget. The fish were just an added bonus! Thanks again to everyone involved in making this possible for these gentlemen, and I'm honored to have had a role in this event!

Another beautiful day on the lake today!!! We set out looking to fill the cooler with blue cats and knocked it out by 1030am! Off the water before the heat set in and released a few others for another day !!! Excellent trip with even better company and looking forward to our next trip!

Perfect breeze made for an outstanding trip with this awesome family! The blue cat bite was on fire and had quite a few nice double-ups, with the biggest fish coming in at 22lbs!!! We also landed 2 nice reds and released a lot of smaller ones for another day! Great memories made and a lot of smiles to conclude these youngsters summer break!!! The fish didn't make it easy for us today, but with some patience and a lot of moving around, we managed a nice bag of fish for the cooler!!! We landed a few smaller fish that were released for another day as well. I appreciate y'all joining me today and sticking it out on this toasty day with zero wind! Outstanding trip today with this amazing group!! We started out fishing for reds and landed some beautiful fish to start the morning off right, with the biggest red coming in at 32 inches! Afterward, we targeted blue cats and had an excellent steady bite the remainder of the trip, with the biggest coming in at 13 1/2lbs! All the youngsters caught their personal biggest fish and everything except one red (swallowed the hook) was released for another day! I really appreciate y'all joining me today and looking forward to our next trip!!!

It has been a hectic last few weeks, so I'm a bit behind on my post. We've been still out on the water slaying some fish though!!! The blue cat bite has been really great, while the reds have required a little more patience. Definitely some quality fish being landed and a lot of great memories made!

Today was definitely a grind, but with a lot of patience and switching up our style of fishing a lot, these gents landed some keepers for cooler and released a few others! We did a little bit of everything today. From casting artificials to soaking different baits and covering a lot of water, we definitely earned these fish!!! The big blue came in at 16.2 lbs and the red came in at 32 1/2 inches!!! Thanks again for joining me today!! Always a blast fishing with you guys!!!

Always a great time on the water with these gents, and today was no exception! We were looking for a meat haul and the catfish didn't disappoint! Beautiful day on the lake today with my good friend Robbie, his son Colin, and Juan!!! We were looking to catch just enough fish for some dinner and a few for the freezer before catching/releasing towards the end of the trip! The little man was a beast, setting hooks and reeling them in with no assistance!!! Great memories all around and looking forward to seeing y'all again!

Excellent time sharing the day with Gary, Tyler, and David!! These gents were looking to get on some blues first, and although the fish were being a bit stubborn, we landed 7 eaters for the cooler. We switched over for some reds and got ourselves 4 nice keepers with 3 bonus channels! Had a ton of undersized reds that were released for another day before heading back in!! Excellent trip today with this fun group!! They definitely kept me entertained every time a rod got hit!! We looked for some reds first thing in the morning and found some undersized ones, but the keepers were playing hard to get. They were looking to get in on some catfish action as well, so we switched it up and put a dozen nice blues in the cooler!! These ladies and gents were a blast to fish with, and definitely looking forward to our next trip in August!!

Yesterday's trip with my good friends, Kerry and Karen!! We started out our trip casting artificials into some big schools of reds and landed their limits by 8am. We switched to cats, and it took us a little bit to find some hungry ones, but we managed 7 nice blues for the cooler and released another before heading back in! The weather was on our side early this morning, with the rain holding off long enough for this amazing family to make some great memories! We started off chasing schools of red drum while casting artificials, landing 7 beautiful fish for the cooler!! We had a few smaller ones that were released for another day as well as a couple got aways. We switched to bait fishing and the young man landed two back to back blue cats just as the rain started to set in! We grinded it out once it downpoured for a bit and decided to call it an early day. Another excellent day on the lake today with this awesome group! We were looking to catch catfish and the morning bite didn't disappoint! We landed enough for a nice fish fry and tried our luck with the reds for the last 20 minutes. Got ourselves a nice bonus keeper and a few throwbacks before calling it a day. Outstanding time on the lake today with some awesome friends!!! Talk about some great memories made! We started out moving around a lot, in search of some reds with only a couple of undersize fish. Decided to switch over to cats and the little man caught a beast of a blue, coming in at 30lbs!!! He almost handed the rod over, but with some encouragement, he landed it himself!!! We safely released her to fight another day! After landing 11 eaters for the cooler, we switched back to reds and landed 3 beautiful ones coming in at 26, 30, and 32 inches for the cooler before calling it a day!!!

Excellent day on the water yesterday! It was all about getting these young men a lot of hands-on experience! From baiting their hooks and learning to cast, to bleeding the fish out and fileting their catches, they handled it awesome!! We also squeezed in a little boat tour around the lake, looking at structure and different water temps. Thanks again for joining me!

Another excellent catfish trip today with this amazing group!!! The morning started off a little slow, but once the bite turned on, it was one after another!!! The little man put in some work today and landed some absolute studs!! Lots of great memories made today for sure and always looking forward to our next adventure!!!

Had to really work for the fish today!!! These gents were looking to catch primarily cats with reds as a secondary choice. With absolutely zero wind in the morning, the cats just did not want to eat. So we switched gears and targeted reds, landing 6 nice ones along with a bunch of throwbacks!!! Once we got a slight breeze, we headed back to the cats and had an awesome triple and double-up! Ended up with 8 blues and 1 channel before calling it a day!!!

Another beautiful day on the lake today!!! Always a lot of laughs when we get together and enjoyed every minute of it!! We still had to move around a lot from spot to spot, but well worth it and paid off with a nice cooler of fish! The heaviest cat came in at 20 1/2 lbs!! Slayed some fish with these gents today! We had a much better wind and the fish were active, but definitely moving a lot more! These guys wanted catfish, but we found some reds in the mix at several spots (no complaints about that, though)! A lot of laughs and friendly smack talking made for an entertaining trip! Thursdays trip at Calaveras! It's been a busy week, so a little behind on posts. Had an excellent time on the water with these gentlemen and slaying some catfish! Definitely a hot day with little to no wind, but these guys stuck it out and filled the cooler with some beautiful slabs!! I appreciate y'all joining me today and looking forward to our next trip!!!
