The Alamo RMA is pleased to announce the availability of the Record of Decision (ROD) for the proposed improvements to US 281 North between Loop 1604 and Borgfeld Drive. The design phase of this project will begin in 2016, with construction anticipated to begin in mid-2017. Final financing details and fee structures are pending the results of a Traffic and Revenue Study and the outcome of Proposition 7, which will go before voters in November 2015. Bexar County and the Alamo RMA have asked TxDOT for additional funding to complete US 281 non-tolled. The Notice of Availability was published in the Texas Register and San Antonio-Express News on July 31, 2015.
