The Alamo
The Alamo is said to be the most haunted spot in San Antonio, but what else can be expected from a historic landmark with a mass grave underneath? San Antonio's most iconic spot is said to still hold the spirits of the men violently killed while trying to defend the Alamo. More than 180 Texans died. Guests have reported hearing moans inside the building and even nearby hotels are said to have the spirits walking around and emerging from walls.
The Lambermont
The Terrell Castle, now known as the Lambermont, is the site of some tragic deaths and creepy haunts. To this day, people report seeing objects move, hearing heavy footsteps in the hall, children playing and odd smells permeating the air.
The Hotel Wells Hotel
Originally built in 1894, this hotel housed some of the most famous hot springs in the country and quickly developed into a glittery Hollywood hangout. It burnt down several times over the years and today only the ruins remain. It is said to be haunted by the ghost of a woman dressed in early 1900โs fashion seen on the second floor of the ruins.
Alamo Street Theater
This was the first building in San Antonio to receive the South Texas Ghost Hunters Alliance "Officially Haunted" award. The stories say several ghosts inhabit the space, including an actress named Miss Margaret and her seamstress Henrietta, who sometimes appears as a puff of smoke.A boy named Little Eddie, who's said to have died of polio at age 12, is also reported to haunt the building.
The Menger Hotel
The Most Haunted Hotel in Texas was built in 1859 next door to the Alamo. It is said that over 36 different ghosts haunt its halls including Teddy Roosevelt who recruited his rough riders from the bar in 1898.
