If you deal with anxiety, panic attacks, or depression, you are not alone!
I have pretty severe panic disorder & anxiety and while I may look like I have my s**t together, I can promise you it’s a different story on the inside.
I’ve been dealing with anxiety and panic attacks for close to 7 years. I’ve learned how to manage it with the help of my mom, therapist, and lots of learning, but I still struggle with it frequently!
Im not huge on taking medication, and only take it when it’s really bad.
Here are some ways I keep my anxiety and panic low:
-make lists. Write things down. Get things out of your head. It’s crazy how much the build up of things in your head can make you go into a spiral after so long.
-talk to someone. A therapist, friend or family. You need to have a human you can just spill everything to.
-eat less processed foods. It has seriously helped me so much.
-listen to happy music. I hate this advice but when I’m walking along in the barns, listening to reggae, I can tell you my day goes 1000x better.
-get off your phone and go touch the earth. Go on a walk, hug your animals, be one with nature. I don’t realize how crappy scrolling & scrolling& scrolling makes my brain feel until I’m in a field with my dog, free of any screens.
-cut back the caffeine. Yup I said it, eek. It helps.
-take yo vitamins! There’s a good chance your body is lacking on vitamins. Vitamins can improve your mood, keep you healthy, and so much more. I take zinc, vitamin C, b12, d3, apple pectin, and selenium.
I share my story with anxiety and panic disorder because it’s not talked about enough in the ag industry. You can get through this, trust me, I know!
