Perfect morning with breakfast at the amazing followed by a tour of Paris in a Citroen 2CV with ! There are a lot of hotels and car tours in Paris but if you’re looking for unique accommodations and highly curated experiences, then Hotel Maison Colbert and La Petite Frenchie Tours are for you. Maison Colbert, the former residence of Simone de Beauvoir, features beautiful artwork in each room, views of Notre Dame, and flawless service at every turn. Not to mention a delicious breakfast!! La Petite Frenchie ensures you don’t just hit the “big sites” but discover and enjoy the unique neighborhoods of Paris, interesting and little known history, and personalized recommendations for the rest of your stay in the City of Light. Not to mention great photography!! Both are highly recommended !!

“The only limits in your life are those that you set yourself.” – Celestine Chua

It took me a few weeks to process this recent adventure. Over the Thanksgiving holiday, my beautiful friend Julie and I trekked 10 miles into the Grand Canyon to the Supai Village (population 700) and ultimately into the Havasupai campground. Over 3 days, we hiked over 30 miles in the most beautiful display of Mother Earth, scrambled down (and up) Mooney Falls with the help of trail angels, gazed at the gorgeous waterfalls all around us, waded in waist deep water to meet the trail on the other side, camped under the stars next to the blue-green waters of Havasu Creek, ate the best fry bread known to man, rode horses in between the canyon walls, cried tears of joyfulness and gratitude (and sometimes fear), and enjoyed one of the best displays of teamwork and humanity I’ve experienced in a long time.

But most of all, we witnessed our own strength. Yes, physical strength, but mostly mental. And proved to ourselves that the only limits in our lives are those we set for ourselves. I turn 50 in two weeks, and I can’t wait for the limit-blasting experiences of the next half century!

Anyone ever cry during yoga? No? Just me?

“Other yoga instructors said that they, too, often witness students weeping on the mat. “They kind of burst into crying,” says Loren Fishman, an expert in integrative medicine who is a physician, medical researcher and longtime yogi (he studied the practice for three years in India). “I saw one person who just had tears running down her cheek. They break down and cry for maybe a minute, and then it’s over.” While the experts we talked to agree that crying during yoga is perfectly normal, they offer different theories about what prompts the behavior.”

Crying during a yoga session is a natural response to a release of emotions.
