🚀 As I close out on the first half of 2024, I'm reflecting on my goals.

Exercise was one of many ambitions I set for myself which I have mentioned in a previous post. Since last year, I've been in groups and following the guidance of amazing leaders and mentors, all with the purpose of growing and achieving more on purpose.

Few people know that I started a new adventure at the beginning of this year—I entered a business partnership in real estate. I took a leap of faith, moved money out of retirement, and invested in myself. We purchased our first home in Utah, and I'm thrilled to share that it sold last week!

It is a long game but investors who aren't in the real estate arena can benefit. I feel that I need to create wealth on my terms. I don’t want to watch my retirement savings grow slowly or risk a major recession in the market.

This new journey is exciting, and the collaboration with high achievers is both inspiring and invaluable. I feel incredibly blessed and eager for what’s to come. Learning many new aspects of business helps me to be better at my own travel profession, as a mom and in my personal life.

Here's my advice: Make big moves, take risks, trust your intuition, surround yourself with people who know more than you, do the work, show gratitude, love deeply.

Life is a creation of your own making.

I worked many years in corporate and assisted dozens of managers on various government programs requiring domestic and international travel. I have always been excellent at researching and putting together seamless logistics, so much so that I started booking my own travel for my family and friends. My main opportunity, at that time, in order to decompress was to take vacation and literally remove myself and my family from the daily schedule. And we traveled a lot!

I have learned over the last several years how to quiet my mind in a way I have never known before. I LOVE meditation, reading, journaling. Ask my boys as I practice it daily and they know it is a part of my life.

During this same period of time, I founded TCK Travel. I wanted to establish this business that would help serve clients in ways that they may get out and explore the world, unwind with their loved ones, rejuvenate, breath......

I recently began following a life coach and started collaborating with like-minded individuals. Do I talk about this to others, not really. So why do I mention this today? Life is supposed to be lived full out in any way we choose, with the best intentions in mind AND leaving everyone else's opinions out of the equation.

If you are sitting on the fence about pursuing a career change, educating yourself or taking care of your body but let others give you feedback that isn't congruent with what you desire for your own life, then don't tell them. Your fear is what holds you back from creating and achieving more. I know as I did that for many years.

The goal I am sharing today is my health and exercise. I believe a healthy body reflects a healthy mind, inspires personal development and business practices. At the end of 2023 I decided I wanted to lose 5% body fat in 2024. I have hiked religiously (almost daily) as many followers, know. The beginning of the year I joined the gym to add weights to tone my body and maintain 7 days of activity.
Today, four months into the year, I have 1% body fat left to drop in order to achieve one of many of my 2024 goals.

Now is the time. Start your small business, do whatever lights up your heart, serve others and Always Take the Trip!

I am not playing small this year or ever again.
