Nothing beats the beauty of a sunset cruise out of Mission Bay 🌅✨ The sky painted in hues of gold and pink, the gentle ocean breeze, and the promise of marine life just beyond the horizon. Every evening feels like a masterpiece! 🌊🐬

Bow-riding bliss! 🐬 Common dolphins are known for their playful nature, and bow-riding is one of their favorite pastimes. By surfing the pressure wave created by a boat, they conserve energy while catching a ride – talk about a smart and efficient commute!

Common dolphins are also one of the fastest marine mammals, reaching speeds of up to 60 km/h (37 mph). With their stunning hourglass patterns and acrobatic leaps, they’re always a delight to watch out here in San Diego’s vibrant waters. 🌊

Seeing these social and energetic dolphins up close reminds us of the incredible biodiversity right here off our coast.

Out on the water, we were treated to a wildlife spectacle—a massive bait ball teeming with life! 🐟✨ To top it off, we spotted some imposter sea lions blending into the frenzy! (Did you know a group of sea lions is called a raft? 🦭)

It was a rare treat to see common dolphins feeding during the day, as they usually hunt under the cover of night. These clever dolphins orchestrate bait balls by working together to corral fish into tight clusters, making it easier to feed. Truly nature’s teamwork at its finest! 🐬💙

San Diego’s rich biodiversity always has something magical to offer, but moments like this remind us just how special this coastal ecosystem is. What a privilege to witness these wild wonders in action! 🌊🌞

Yesterday was a dream on the water! 🐋✨ We spotted 6 gray whales migrating south, witnessed a juvenile humpback whale showing off with some breathtaking breaches, and were surrounded by thousands of common dolphins and playful inshore bottlenose dolphins. Days like this remind us why we love the ocean so much! 💙

We are very excited to see this post :) More details on this very exciting collaborative partnership to come soon!

What a phenomenal day in our local waters today as we were graced with some beautiful orca sightings. This is an amazing opportunity to not only view our annual gray whale migration but also see one of nature’s top predators. Plenty of space available on our daily trips
