Hands down our favorite time of the year to do tours in Coronado is December! The town is decked out in holiday decorations ❄️, the air is crisp, and at the end of it, we arrive at the Hotel del Coronado just in time for the sunset. After the tour our guests can enjoy all the Hotel del has to offer - ice skating ⛸️, a holiday light extravaganza, their amazing Christmas tree 🎄, plus dining and shopping. We beg you - please book this tour in December - it makes us happy 😁 and you'll be happy too!

Nothing Grinch-y about this nice couple! It's just hard to resist the tree at the Old Globe Theater for their annual production of "How The Grinch Stole Christmas." Always one of the first signs of the Christmas holidays in Balboa Park, we look forward to it, and being spied on by the Grinch himself, every year. Thanks so much to these two new friends for joining us in the park!

We don't do tours of the Gaslamp Quarter often, but we'd do them all the time if we had a group as awesome as this one! Service dogs are always welcome on tour, especially when they are a lovely as Miss Lucy! Her humans were a delight, and everyone enjoyed exploring Old Town, the humans enjoyed trying some delicious tacos and tequila, and Lucy was a bit tuckered out at the end. People are always intrigued by the Cannibals exhibit signage at the Museum of Us (though half of our guests read it as "cannabis" 🤣) and these ladies were no exception. These two lovely couples - life long friends celebrating milestone birthdays - win for the longest time between booking a tour and taking it! Long enough that we wondered if the other would show up! It's easy to get to Balboa Park from the cruise ship terminal, and that's what this lovely couple did when the toured with us on a port day. Located in Ingram Plaza, this flagpole was originally at the entrance to the Naval Training Station (later Center) when it was commissioned in 1923. The plaza is named after Osmond Ingram, the first American sailor to die in World War I when his ship was attacked by a German sub in 1917. He was awarded the Medal of Honor posthumously for his attempt to save his ship and fellow sailors. Now known as Liberty Station, the Naval Training Center oversaw the basic or advanced training of over two million men and women over the course of seven decades.
