As the busy season winds down, we're taking some time away to recharge, do some research, and plan for next year. We'll have limited access to email but you can still book a tour on our site while we are away. See you soon!

Located in Ingram Plaza, this flagpole was originally at the entrance to the Naval Training Station (later Center) when it was commissioned in 1923. The plaza is named after Osmond Ingram, the first American sailor to die in World War I when his ship was attacked by a German sub in 1917. He was awarded the Medal of Honor posthumously for his attempt to save his ship and fellow sailors.
Now known as Liberty Station, the Naval Training Center oversaw the basic or advanced training of over two million men and women over the course of seven decades.
Today we honor the men and women of all the branches of the military who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Big waves in Coronado Tuesday evening as another storm rolls through. Since Coronado is a south facing beach these waves are massive compared to what is normally here.
