Guadalupe Island may be closed for shark viewing, but thankfully, we still have Shark Week! Starting tomorrow, July 23rd, you can watch reruns of many shows filmed with us at Guadalupe. Be sure to catch 'Great White Open Ocean' for the harrowing story of our divemaster, Jimi Partington, as well as some classics like 'Island of the Mega Shark', 'Great White Abyss', GWSK: Extinction', & 'Legend of Deep Blue'.

Super excited to have worked with this crew on 'Jaws vs. The Blob', premiering tonight (Fri 7/29) on Shark Week! It sounds like a horror movie title but in fact it is an extremely interesting & hi-tech show: a new phenomenon known as The Blob sends juvenile great white sharks straight into a feeding frenzy of giant 20-foot adults off Guadalupe Island. A team of shark experts dives deep to discover whether the young sharks survive or become a snack.

You can also catch it in re-runs throughout the weekend on Discovery or stream on Discovery+!

One of the great things about our shark trips is the camaraderie that fosters between the guests. This group right here were single travelers from all over the country who came aboard the Islander, bonded and became friends. So much so they have planned multiple trips together to reunite cage diving with us!! 2022 will be trip #8 for Andrew, trip #4 for Maria, Carolyn & Brad, and trip #3 for Sherene. If not for the Covid shutdown & a year of bad weather, these guys would have also been on 2 other trips. Now that's love of sharks! And we love this group!! Included are some of the fantastic shark photos each took from the cages. Thanks for your patronage guys 🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈

Meet Scott Drew. What some people consider a once-in-a-lifetime event, he has turned into an annual pilgrimage. He has been on our great white shark cage dive trip to Guadalupe Island a record 9 times! He knows this island as well as anyone and takes epic photos of our fine-finned friends. It's getting closer to the start of our Great White Shark Cage Diving Season at Guadalupe Island. We can't wait to get back to our great-gilled guy & gal pals!! 🦈
I get asked all the time "How many sharks will I see on the trip?". The best answer is "MANY!". We've had up to 16 different sharks in a 1-hour cage rotation. Each diver has 12-16 of these hour rotations on the trip. With ~350 cataloged great white sharks at Guadalupe each fall season, you can expect to be looking at one great white, when another swims up, then another...it's MAGIC!! Here are some cute couples, double dudes, and even a fine-finned foursome for your enjoyment.🦈

Catch our incredible divemaster, JIMI PARTINGTON, in "JAWS AWAKENS: PHRED VS. SLASH", premiering today on Shark Week! As a result of diving during the filming of this show in New Zealand, Jimi suffered a stroke. We are so grateful he is alive and on his way to a full recovery!! He'll be back aboard with us on our cage dive trips to Guadalupe Island in 2022, but in the meantime, stay tuned for more details of his journey.
