When it comes to resolving work dilemmas, what is your communication style?
We recently facilitated a leadership retreat for a Global construction company and it was interesting to see the different communication styles. As our facilitator pointed out, one group was slow and methodical, while the other did a lot of spit balling.
Both groups did very well but in the end, it was the slow and methodical group who won.
Despite living in a fast moving, high tech world… it was a good reminder that taking the thoughtful, more intentional route is sometimes the better answer.

This video makes us smile. It was taken during our last Charity Bike Build when teams compete in the “Turtle Race.” The event was supposed to be outside but a sudden thunderstorm forced us indoors. Fortunately, the client found an empty office space since all employees have been working remotely the past 21 months. As the competitors raced around the office, trying to avoid damaging any of the cubicles, all we could think was “Hmm, when the parents are away, the kids come out to play!” 😂 #bikebuild #teambuilding #giveback #corporateevents #corporateculture
