Our fleet is preparing for the 2025 season, and this beauty is ready to be hauled out!

Early this week I watched as Ocean Odyssey departed for Ventura harbor to haul out. While there she will be getting some TLC and a bi-annual Coast Guard inspection.
After a few delays to the schedule that set us back a few days it was her turn in the chute. Watching your blood, sweat, and many tears, hanging by straps to be driven over concrete is beyond stressful. So many things can happen in those first few minutes as the boat is being lifted, and every single time it goes on straps l have to take deep breaths so I don’t vomit or pass out. Pictured Rick is getting some moral support from the crew.
With that being said, the haul out went perfectly and my girl is high and dry getting her spa treatment. We will keep you updated on the work we are doing as it comes along.~~Dina

Had a fun morning yesterday with Catch and release on Marlin down by Mag Bay. Incredible sign and top water visual. This morning has been scratchy on yellowtail with smaller fish than we hoped for and poor conditions. Going to make a move for this afternoon and hope for better conditions

November Yellowtail on a 2.5 day on the with Captain Steve Taft and his great crew.
One of the best yellowtail bites that I’ve seen in a very long time, yellowtail boiling for hours. Flyline, Yo-yo jigs & cult snippers were the ticket to hooking them on 20 to 40lb fluorocarbon. Average size yellowtails 15-40lbs. I fished 20lb fluorocarbon then switched up to 30lb when the fish got bigger, I fished a flyline rig 1/0 circle hook with a shoulder hook. I went 12 for 18 all caught on my custom built Rainshadow Rod Blanks Tuna Popper RTP80MH with ALPS ForeCast Components paired with an Accurate Valient 400 and Tightline braid. Fun times on the water.

Had a nice day doing long drifts on really nice fish from 150 to 225 pounds. Flyline with heavy gear added to our sucess. Fantastic finisher for the Accurate ten day trip.
Headed up the beach to stop for a few Rock Cod before we head home.
