“Crazy Tryss” got her name because of her unusual behavior. She always seemed a bit distracted when she was checking out things. Unlike most sharks she stayed completely calm when she bumped into something or got into a tight situation.
Check out the divers in the cage! This could be you! Coming face to face with a Great White Shark is an experience you’ll never forget.

Great White Shark “Crazy Tryss” checking out our cages.
Tryss was sticking her head between the cages and the boat. Normally a white shark kind of freaks out when they get into a situation like this, but she remained completely calm, looking at me while she slowly moved away again.
Antics like this and swimming around while spy hopping like a whale earned her the “Crazy” part of her name.

Shark Diver was live from the middle of the ocean! Fox Weather Wild from New York did a live shot from our current dive at Guadalupe Island.
(I recorded it off my phone because they haven’t posted it yet…so don’t mind the shakiness.)
Thanks Fox Weather! And a big thank you shout out to Gregory our IT guy with Nautilus Dive Adventures, which we charter our vessel, the Undersea from…for making this possible.🦈❤️
“Sad Face” a 15ft + male and “Sofie Derosa” one of our subadult females are swimming really close to our cages.
Great White Sharks at Guadalupe Island often ignore the tuna baits and just swim by our cages, checking out our divers by making eye-contact with each individual in the cages.
This is truly a trip of a lifetime, an experience you’ll never forget.

Not only do we see multiple great white sharks at the same time, but they also come in really close to check out our divers!
We're heading back out to Guadalupe tonight. I can't wait to see who we’ll encounter on this trip.
Will this shark, Stephanie, be back? We never know who will show up, that's what keeps things interesting. After 20 years of dividing with these amazing creatures, I still can't get enough and am super excited for this trip.

Multiple Great White Sharks coming by our cages.
#greatwhites usually don’t get too close together, but certain individuals seem to be comfortable with each other. It is still super rare to see #greatwhiteshark actually touching each other.

It's a sharknado!
