We have become aware of a YouTuber who goes by the name “Metal Leo.” His videos consist of nothing but doom loop talk about how every store in SF has closed and how terrible everything is here. Such a disservice and also contributes to the problem. Shame! The number one thing I hear from tourists is how they’re surprised that it’s not as bad here as they’d heard.

Thirteen years as Emperor! Today marks the 13th anniversary of the first time I took to the streets as Emperor Norton. When Gav and I decided to do character-based tours of San Francisco, we had no idea what it would turn into. It has been an amazing experience, the best in my life. The places I've been and the people I've met are astounding. Thanks to the people of San Francisco who have embraced me as the embodiment of our beloved Emperor. It has been an honor and a privilege. I created a video of the highlights of the last 13 years. You might just see yourself in it.
