👋 Hey everyone! For whoever is heading to Kauai, Hawaii, I just had to share this little gem of a find with you. The other day, I was in Lihue, Kauai, taking my car for a safety check, and on the way out, I stumbled upon the cutest poke shop! 🐟

Now, I'm pretty picky when it comes to poke, but let me tell you, this place blew me away! 🤯 The freshness and flavor were out of this world, and I couldn't help but think back to what a wise man once told me - eat where the mechanics and taxi drivers eat. And boy, did that advice pay off! 🙌

Lawai'a Fish Co is hidden in an unassuming neighborhood in Lihue's industrial part of town, but don't let that fool you. This place is a hidden gem, and I highly recommend it to all our Poipu Gardens guests out there. Trust me, you won't be disappointed! 😋

By the way, poke is a Hawaiian dish that originated in the 1970s. The word "poke" means "to cut into small pieces" in Hawaiian. So if you're a foodie like me, this is a must-try when you're in Kauai!

Today's small business highlight is Hawaiian Aroma Caffe (Ohana East).

The atmosphere makes or breaks any small business on our list, and for a caffe, that's especially true. There is a hint of Hawaiian aroma in the air of this place (no pun intended).

This week's small business highlight is Egghead Cafe Espresso Bar.

Though their name is pretty funny, this place is serious about their coffee and atmosphere. They make some incredible coffee drinks and baked goods.

Also, the tranquil environment is accompanied by the familiar sound of espresso machine steam and thoughtful chit chatter echoing off the unique wall art defining the space.

One reads, 'What Good Shall We Do Today" an ode to Benjamin Franklin.

I reminder to return to the important things, like helping others in our community (after a cup of Egghead Coffee of course)!
