Wok Wiz Chinatown Tours Founded in 1987 by the late chef/author Shirley Fong-Torres. Each year, we bring thousands of guests, of all ages, from near and far, to our vibrant area.

Wok Wiz Tours has been in business for 35 years and was founded by the late chef/author Shirley Fong-Torres. Every Wok Wiz tour leader was either born in, or grew up in Chinatown, giving a very local flavor to the tour, and each speaks fluent English as well as Chinese. Wok Wiz Chinatown Tours remains a San Francisco icon. Featured in the NY Times, LA Times, Bon Appetit, Gourmet, Telemundo, BRAVO-

Wok Wiz welcomed Hawai’i based chefs from Merriman’s and their Handcrafted Restaurants division on tour this week.

Tour leader, Frank Jang, brought them on a food focused Chinatown experience including stops at Red Blossom Tea Company, iCafe, Golden Gate Fortune Cookies, local deli, markets, historic spots, colorful alleyways, etc. After their time in Chinatown, all headed to Yank Sing for a delicious dim sum luncheon.

Thank you, chefs, for making some time with us a part of your plans.
