In recognition of 555 California Street's prominence in the city of San Francisco, the property owner, Vornado Realty Trust, reinstated the lighting of the City's largest holiday tree on the plaza of the building. As a further commitment to San Francisco, Vornado has built upon this tradition by bringing a renewed family-oriented spirit to the downtown business district. Past events featured lighting dignitaries such as the legends Joe Montana, Jerry Rice and Dwight Clarke of the San Francisco 49er's, 2-time Olympic volleyball gold medalist Misty May-Treanor, and current 49ers All-Stars Patrick Willis, Vernon Davis, Joe Staley and Frank Gore. Notable musical performances included multi-platinum recording artist Natasha Beddingfield, three-time Grammy® Award Winner Robin Thicke, Disney radio sensation and Hannah Montana star Emily Osment, #1 Billboard Music New Artist Andy Grammer and American Idol star Pia Toscano as well as the popular Dick Bright Orchestra, the San Francisco Girls Chorus and the Grammy® Award winning San Francisco Boys Chorus.
