The Lovely Martha is the third "Martha" to take fisherman and sightseers out through the Golden Gate from San Francisco. Her history spans many decades as an icon in the world-famous fishing fleet at home in Fisherman's Wharf. Four generations of the Rescino family have escorted still more generations of fishermen in search of game fish, having boated hundreds of thousands of salmon and other species. Some of our loyal customers fished on the Martha as children, and now they are treating their grandchildren to special fishing trips on the Lovely Martha as the tradition continues. And still more tradition: The family succession moves closer as the next Captain Rescino is groomed for the position that he was born for.

Yard update. Today we put flat on the haul. Over the last couple days we addressed the glass on the upper deck, re-bedded the antenna mounts on top of the wheelhouse, and replaced rotten wood on the door frame. Things are coming along. Tomorrow we will put the first coat of enamel on the haul. We will update you again soon.

Well that’s a wrap!!! We have officially finished our 2024 fishing season. The Lovely Martha Crew wants to thank everyone who came out with us this year. We look forward to seeing you all again next year!!! We will start back up again in March for halibut/bass.

Hello everyone I know we haven’t posted lately since we have canceled the last few trips due to rough ocean conditions. We have 3 more trips on the schedule next week. FRIDAY the 27th for a crab only, SATURDAY the 28th & SUNDAY the 29th for a crab/rockfish combo, weather permitting. This will be the last chance to get on the boat for the 2024 season. Good morning everyone. We made it to the yard. Time to get the girl all dolled up.

The 2023 season is definitely one we will always remember!! The Lovely Martha Crew wants to thank everyone who came out and made it all possible. With no salmon season we focused mainly on halibut/bass. This year was by far the best bay fishing we have ever seen, with limits of halibut & bass being a regular occurrence. In November we switched gears to crab/rockfish combos and we scored limits on every trip out!!! We look forward to seeing you all again for the 2024 season to make new memories!!
