Stairways and alleyways. I always love a good SF secret spot.
Plans this weekend? Hike to the tafoni sandstone monolith at El Corte de Madera Creek Preserve in Redwood City!
Tafoni are holes in stone that can take thousands of years to form.
In this park, you’ll also see debris from a 1953 plane crash and just 0.6 miles south of here, there’s a 1,860-year-old redwood tree.
Still catching up on my NYC-area hikes here. Loved this one in Oakland, NJ just 10 minutes from my childhood home. Check out those NYC views! 😍
We’re so excited about our new hiking journals. Check ‘em out! 📕📖📚📓📒
New reel on all the tiled and painted stairways. Feel free to share far and wide! Map is bit.ly/stairmap.
Mist rising off Phoenix Lake in the Mt. Tam Watershed this morning. 🤩
It’s been a challenging week with everyone in my family except for me having COVID. Here was a moment of brightness from late November. Enjoy! #facebookreels
Presidio of San Francisco Tunnel Tops ribbon cutting ceremony yesterday! The ribbon was made of paper butterflies. Can you spot Nancy Pelosi?
Anyone heading to Tunnel Tops today? Or are you waiting a few weeks until it’s less crowded?

Did I mention Angel Island State Park’s beaches yet? 😍
The animals of Angel Island State Park! We saw a baby snake, so many deer, and this coyote. This canine — the only one on the whole island — apparently *swam* here from the mainland in 2017!
