Our Story

The Giant Race Run/Walk Series represents the perfect combination of running and baseball. The San Francisco Giants and Giants Enterprises have worked together to give baseball fans and running enthusiasts an unforgettable journey of run, walk, fitness, and training experiences all season long. With events held in Scottsdale, Sacramento, San Jose and San Francisco, the Giant Race unites an array of Giants-inspired themes at every level of professional baseball. The Series begins in sunny Scottsdale during Spring Training, continues at Minor League facilities in Sacramento and San Jose, and ends on the field at AT&T Park with a 20,000 participant race on the flattest and fastest course in hilly San Francisco. The Giant Race's mission is to inspire each participant’s inner MVP. For our athletes, finishing a race on a professional baseball field with their face on the video board and photo in the home dugout is an experience not to be missed.

They say Spring Training is the best kept secret in baseball; we say the Scottsdale Giant Race is the best kept secret of Spring Training. Join the fun this year! Sacramento - March 30th - 10K & 5K- The Sacramento Giant Race Presented By Alaska Airlines is known to have some of the most unique on-course entertainment in the league! Not to mention, an epic finish on the hallowed ground that is Raley Field. Get ready for the baseball season by running the 10K or 5K and soak up some of that Sactown sun. All racers will earn a finisher medal & sweet race tee to show off their accomplishments. Sign up today! San Jose - June 15th - 5 Mile & 5K - “Single A baseball is boring,” said no one ever. Add in the 8th annual San Jose Giant Race Presented By Alaska Airlines to the weekend and all we can say is “you’re welcome.” The San Jose Giant Race weekend at Municipal Stadium never fails to bring together the most die-hard Giants fans who love spending their mornings sweating and high-fiving other Giants fans from all over the Bay Area. This event is open to all ages, all speeds, all shapes and all sizes. Run the 5K or 5 Mile & sweat yourself free from adult responsibilities for the day.
