There’s something about the redwoods in the rain

Great day for a car ride ,rain the whole way. Went up north picked up the liferafts, spent a little money in Eureka at England Marine then got some breakfast and came home. left at 5 AM and pulled into the driveway at 5 PM not too shabby.tomorrow I get to drive a boat and then back to the bass tub

Today was an easy day just ran errands. We fell a little short on the deck paint so I had to go get more of that, but I did go down and check out to make sure it all dried once the weather stops raining hopefully we can finish up the rest of the deck, I will be going up north tomorrow to pick up the liferaft and next week we have to finish up the engine stuff with John Deere. We can do that in the rain, luckily. Once we are satisfied with the way, everything is running. We may pull the boat out of the water still haven’t decided yet. A little bit more paint work and we should be good to go!!! I’ve been dog sitting the last couple days. This dog is hysterical.

Little update on the bass tub today

Reels just got back from the service center and now we can get them paired up with the rods.the crew will be there in the am to put the final coat of deck paint on the deck before the rain this weekend. The boat is coming along well, sea trials were today and hopefully we will get some news from john Deere .I will be picking up the rafts on Friday in Eureka and hopefully we can get the crab davit off the boat tomorrow. Slowly picking away at the projects!!!! captain Aaron and myself talked about the schedule and we will be getting it out soon. tub updates
Well the weather has been pretty nice getting the clean up done and let me tell you 48 years on the water for this old girl and she not looking to bad!!!! John 🦌 deere parts arrived today and should be ready sometime shortly. In the meantime, I am going to continue with the cleanup hopefully paint the deck in the next couple days. Plugging away at it!

Happy New Years everyone from the Basstub! This year we had some amazing fishing, from wide open halibut to wide open bass, to a great showing of albacore, and to wrap it up we had a great crab season! We want to thank everyone that came out with us this year and we look forward to all of you and more next year! Hopefully we get that amazing salmon that everyone misses and loves this year, cross your fingers! We are looking forward to 2025, Thank you Everyone, Aaron, Erik, Patrick, and Jeff, Good bye 2024

Well, the storm fronts have been hitting us pretty hard. We are hoping for the 29th and the 30th for a crab only those will be the last fishing trips of the season for us. We still have room just book online or give Captain Aaron a call at 415-706-4947. The boat will be running a New Year’s Cruise and then we’ll be going to the shipyard after that to get a few new toys added to the boat and to get caught up on some maintenance.
