Experience • Must have three (3) years of recent Radiologic technology experience, including one (1) year of recent experience in whole body computerized tomography (CT). The one (1) year of CT experience requirement may be substituted with successful completion of the department's formal CT training program. Responsibilities • Administers IV contrasts in accordance with department policy. • Ensures that equipment and accessories are maintained and functioning. Reports problems to supervisor. • Evaluates CT scans for technical quality, collate processed images in sequence of exposure and appropriately label. Transmits all exams to Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) • Instructs and prepares patients for imaging procedure • Logs exams in log book under proper exam number and disk number. Keeps accurate records including entries in exam logbook and archiving process • Performs specialized tasks associated with the operation of CT scanners and related equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures. Performs routine and specialized CT exams. • Photographs and develops exam films in accordance with the department standards. Maintains high degree of exam quality (proper Display Field of View (DFOV), protocol, name, and Medical Record Number (MRN) • Positions Patients for CT scans About us Power Personnel has been working with healthcare professionals like you since 1994.
