Responsibilities • Administers IV contrasts in accordance with department policy. • Ensures that equipment and accessories are maintained and functioning. Reports problems to supervisor. • Evaluates CT scans for technical quality, collate processed images in sequence of exposure and appropriately label. Transmits all exams to Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) • Instructs and prepares patients for imaging procedure • Logs exams in log book under proper exam number and disk number. Keeps accurate records including entries in exam logbook and archiving process • Performs specialized tasks associated with the operation of CT scanners and related equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures. Performs routine and specialized CT exams. • Photographs and develops exam films in accordance with the department standards. Maintains high degree of exam quality (proper Display Field of View (DFOV), protocol, name, and Medical Record Number (MRN) • Positions Patients for CT scans About us Power Personnel has been working with healthcare professionals like you since 1994.
