We had the privilege of having Sgt. Eddie Ryan and his crew in camp with us this past weekend! Sgt. Eddie is a US Marine Veteran who was injured in the line of Combat.
Sgt. Eddie and the men of 3rd BN 2nd Marines Scout Sniper Pit (Iraq 2005) were able to reunite in camp to enjoy some hog hunting, story telling, and time in the outdoors.
Springs of Change, a non-profit corporation, organized this special event and made it happen. One of Eddies dreams has always been to go on an alligator hunt. We are so happy that was able to happen just a few days ago! (The video posted here is of his hunt).

When you go out hog hunting with dogs there is one dog (usually a bull dog) that is the catch dog.
After the bay dogs have the hog bayed up the catch dog is walked in. When given the signal or released it will run in and catch the hog on the ears so the hunter can grab the hog without getting hurt or cut up.
