CCUSA’s Practical Training USA 🇺🇸 program is designed to allow foreign professionals to come to the United States to gain exposure to U.S. culture and receive training in U.S. business practices in their chosen occupational field!
Two of our participants Andre F. and Andre S. from Brazil 🇧🇷 have been in the country for the past 13 months and will be finishing their program this year! Here is what Andre F. had to say about their experience:
“Andre and I have had the chance to participate in a Management, Youth Development, Non-Profit Management, and Marketing Trainee program at a Summer Camp for people with disabilities in the state of Maryland. During this time we were able to learn a lot about American organizational culture while being part of incredible improvement projects for the Camp, which led us to take on the coordination of placements and the program offered by the camp.
I wish everyone had the opportunity to be in such a diverse, inclusive, and multicultural environment at least once in their life because at least for both of us, this experience will be unforgettable! We couldn’t be more grateful for everything we experienced and learned!”

Last summer, our participant Rhea from the UK spent her summer at camp in Montreal, Canada 🏕️, and here is what she said she learned from her time at camp:
“I learned so many independent and social skills for example, how to deal with tough situations on my own and make conversations, and get to know people that I had never met before. I would recommend this program to people because I think it’s an experience of a lifetime and you learn so much about yourself and have so much fun in the process of being at camp and taking part in all the activities. Some tips that I would give to people considering camp is to look into different camps and see which one fits your criteria eg, where the camp is located, and the different range of activities and experiences they offer. ”

Important reminder for our travelers to Canada! 🚨🇨🇦
At your first Canadian arrival airport, you will apply for your work permit. Plan for it to take a few hours when you first arrive. While there are different work permits, everyone applies at the airport when they land coming through immigration. Don't leave the passport control without a work permit!
