Today is relaxation day so I wanted to share my perfect way to relax while on a Disney vacation!

My perfect day at the Disneyland resort is one where I’m not actually running to rides to be first on but rather grabbing a cup of tea and sitting along the water at Disney’s California Adventure Park and enjoying the peacefulness before the day gets busy.

Sitting by the water and soaking in the sights and sounds really does make me smile. Theme parks are so detailed it’s nice to slowdown and take time to really look at things and enjoy the craftsmanship behind them.

Unpopular opinion….EPCOT is my favorite park at the Walt Disney World resort! There really is something for everyone here year round but I also love all the festivals they host.

Next up is the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival which starts August 29th and runs through November 23rd.

✨Updated spaces coming to the Disney Dream cruise ship this fall!

✨Revamped Youth Spaces

Recruits, assemble! A state-of-the-art lab, courtesy of the Worldwide Engineering Brigade (WEB), is coming to the Oceaneer Club. At Marvel WEB Workshop, young recruits can test new suit prototypes for Spider-Man and other heroes, and conduct training simulations using WEB technology to fend off enemies. Avenger mentors will also visit to check on their progress.

Up next is Edge, the tween club for guests ages 11-14, moving to Deck 5 with exciting new features. It will have access to an outdoor deck with a ball pit and recreational games, exclusively for Edge and Vibe. Edge will also include a club lounge and dance floor for unforgettable parties. Are they taking song requests yet?

✨Fantastical Funnel Suite

The forward funnel of the Disney Dream is about to completely transform into the Dream Tower Suite! In homage to the Disney Dream’s stern character, Sorcerer Mickey, the all-new, two-story funnel suite will be themed to the classic Walt Disney Animation Studios film, “Fantasia,” and its beloved sequence, “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” (enchanted brooms not included).

✨Concierge guests will sing “bless my soul!” in the harmonious fashion of the Muses as they enter an expanded Concierge Lounge, an all-new space inspired by the Disney Animation film, “Hercules,” and the heavenly Mount Olympus. The ethereal lounge will have light, airy details and rich colors inspired by the clouds of Mount Olympus, with hints of bright gold evoking the gates to the kingdom of the gods.

✨Now, to the spa! This tranquil space will have a refreshed check-in area and will expand to include new treatment rooms.

✨And, last but not least, joining the quick service dining options on Deck 11 will be a guest favorite cantina, offering a delicious selection of tacos, burritos and bowls!

👻Dates are selling out for this year’s Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party 2024!

This special event is held select nights at the Magic Kingdom park and is a frightfully fun time for the whole family. Returning this year is “Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade” which will have you singing along for DAYS to come! IYKYK 🤣

Also showing each night are the “Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular” fireworks show, hosted by Jack Skellington, and the “Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular” stage show.

During the entire night guests will be able to trick-or-treat throughout the park as well; and dressing up is encouraged!

🍦Happy DOLE Whip Day!

This is one of the iconic treats that many people indulge in when going to a Disney theme park. Did you know that there are more options than just the standard pineapple flavor? Other flavors such as strawberry, raspberry, orange, lime and more can be found throughout the theme parks.

You can also get them as floats with or without alcohol, as a smoothie, as mousse inside a cupcake or even spice it up with chile-lime seasoning. There really is a DOLE whip out there for everyone!

You need to hear this today!👟

If you have a theme park vacation planned you need to get yourself prepared for A LOT of walking! On average when I spend a full day in a park I’ll walk 15,000 to 20,000 steps!

My recommendation to ensure you are prepared is to start walking every day leading up to your trip. You don’t need a fast pace but increasing your distance as your trip approaches will ensure you will be able to enjoy those long theme park days.

Walt Disney World has some of the most entertaining and unforgettable shows. Here are four of the must see shows for your next trip.

1️⃣ Festival Of The Lion King- Located in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Come join Simba, Timone, Pumba, Hyenas, monkeys performing acrobatics and the most amazing singers bringing you the best tracks from the film!
Guru Tip- Get to the Harambe Theatre at least 30 minutes before showtime

2️⃣ Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular. This Disney World show is located in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It’s a classic Disney World show that has been entertaining guests with its daring thrills since August 1989. There’s fire, explosions, trucks, cars, and even airplanes!

3️⃣ Fantasmic, Hollywood Studios - This Disney classic has been transformed into a spectacular live performance on the water. Watch Sorcerer Mickey on an adventure as he enters the many worlds of Disney animation and imagination. Mickey in Fantasmic at Hollywood Studios, It’s one of the busiest shows at Walt Disney World.

Guru Tip- Get there at least 45-60 minutes before showtime.

4️⃣ Finding Nemo: The Big Blue... and Beyond! - Based on Disney and Pixar’s film Finding Nemo, this exciting stage show invites you to discover the familiar tale of Nemo and friends from a whole new point of view. This show is the most elaborate live show in any Disney World theme park.

Guru Tip- The standby line opens around 30 minutes before show time, with entry into the theater 15 minutes before the show.

✨ Walk into Disney World like a pro!

👟 Make sure you have your kids wear their shoes before your trip.

💦 If you can, bring an extra pair of shoes or a water resistant option. You never know when it will rain.

😎 Kids' feet grow fast, have them try on their shoes before you leave to make sure they still fit and are comfortable.

You will be walking multiple miles a day while on a Disney World vacation. Having a comfy pair of shoes is essential.

A brand-new “Guardians of the Galaxy” dinner show is debuting at Worlds of Marvel on the Disney Treasure! “Marvel Celebration of Heroes: Groot Remix.”

The story will follow Groot as he brings guests along for on an on-screen quest to throw the ultimate surprise party for his friend, Rocket. All the while, diners will eat to the beat of an “awesome mix” of hit songs and can test their knowledge of the Marvel universe with trivia for the whole family.

The new show will be offered to guests during one of two distinct nights at Worlds of Marvel, where they will also experience “Avengers: Quantum Encounter,” which first premiered on the Disney Wish.

Starting off your vacation by waiting an hour to get a ride share is terrible and stressful!

Calling all cat lovers and Disney Animation fans! A brand-new lounge themed to the 1970 Walt Disney Animation Studios classic, “The Aristocats” is marked to open onboard the Disney Treasure cruise ship when it sets sail this December.

Named for everyone’s favorite music-loving feline from the film, S**t Cat Lounge will bring the groovy penthouse performance of “Ev’rybody Wants to be a Cat” into the real world for the first time. Plans for the venue combine the elegance of an old-school jazz club with artistic references to “The Aristocats”.

I think I’m most excited for the specialty drinks that will be offered in this new lounge. Three of the new cocktails will be:

🐱The Créme de la Créme Martini infused with cognac, chocolate and a nutmeg topping
🐱The Cat Drink with clarified bourbon, amaro, Aperol, and fresh lemon
🐱The Turkish Tea Experience, a tea-based cocktail for two or more guests

When you can no longer “just keep swimming” at EPCOT it’s time to pop into Turtle Talk with Crush for a few moments of seated and air-conditioned relaxation!

This fun show is very interactive where little ones can sit on the floor up front and talk to Crush the turtle.

The best part is the parents get to sit on the nice cool benches to enjoy the fun and jokes! Don’t miss this on your next visit to EPCOT.

This can be found inside The Seas with Nemo & Friends pavilion and has showtimes throughout the day.

🧳There are many kid specific items you will need to pack, but having a few tips ready to go can help the packing process.

✨ Make sure you have lots of snacks and drinks!

✨ Bring some of your toddler’s favorite activities (coloring, toys, tablet, etc.)

✨ Be sure to pack their favorite comfort item to help them feel safe and secure on the flight.
