The property is officially reopened with full power, water, elevators, and sewer service restored!

From our HOA board:

However, the pool had a bit more debris than we originally thought, so it will need to be drained and thoroughly cleaned. That’s scheduled for this week. The restrooms have been cleaned, and all the pool chairs are back in place, ready for some relaxation when the pool is back in action!

David is also busy getting the tennis courts cleaned up, so they’ll be ready for a match soon.

In the meantime, we’re working on replacing the emergency exit signage for all five buildings, and we’ve already requested a proposal from a vendor to take care of that.

Thanks again for your patience and understanding as we work hard to get everything back to 100%.

We look forward to welcoming everyone this fall and winter season!

At 2:45 p.m. today, The City of Sanibel, Florida reported that the sanitary sewer system has been restored for residential and business use. The city is asking that the community please use water conservatively as the lift stations continue to be brought online. A boil water notice remains in effect for Sanibel and Captiva.

Our power is back on!

From our HOA MANAGER

Dear Loggerhead Cay Homeowners,

Good news! Now that power is being restored to the complex, we’re starting to make great progress in getting things back to normal. David will begin cleaning the tennis court and preparing the pool for reopening.

The pool contractor will be out on Sunday to shock the pool and add chlorine. Once the water clears, we’ll assess if any additional steps are needed. We also removed the pool motor prior to the storm and will reinstall it this week. If all goes according to plan, we’re aiming to have the pool open by the end of the week!

On Monday, the cleaning crew will be here to assist with putting the pool chairs back out and cleaning the restrooms, which had a bit of water inside. We’re excited to see the complex coming together again and will keep you updated as we continue our full recovery.
