The is going to be presenting an exhibition later this year, sharing images and experiences of the hurricane. They are accepting images from people affected by the storm in any way. Life continues to be unpredictable this year. A year and a half and we have still not been able to visit our lovely Sanibel getaway. Christmas is now not happening for us. So, looking at the positive in every situation, some wonderful, lucky family is going to be able to spend their 🎄 Christmas on Sanibel this year. A 5 bedroom home with a pool, hot tub and a private access to the beach ( across the street! ) is hard to come by on the island these days…and ours just opened up. I know. I know. Sanibel IS all about sunshine and shells, it really is. But it also has spectacular moments of beauty in it’s peacefulness as well. The beaches are so quiet in some areas that it does feel that it is just you and the waves and the wind. It is a wonderful place for finding some space and quiet. The J.N. Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge is an experience that changes every single day on Sanibel. Walk it, bike it, drive it...just go. The wildlife on display is amazing. For kids, the education centre is a destination on it’s own and do not miss the bathrooms ( really!!! ) @ Sanibel, Florida

Sanibel Adventures! Tired of the beach? Of the shelling? Of the biking? Never. BUT! A day trip to with is always on our family list. Enjoy some cheeseburgers ( rumour has it that there is even a song written about them...) and a cold beer after a lovely cruise to this island:). Climb up the tower, meet a 🐢, take a stroll on the paths, boat watch...there is always something fun to do for everyone. And don’t forget your dollar bills! Oh...and did I mention the dolphins?
