This house made it through it’s third hurricane this year with flying colours! A little muddy, a little cut drywall and she is ready to go! This fact alone should make someone want this home:). Bring your worst weather Florida, this house recovered beautifully from Ian, learned some lessons and it is resilient and ready for it’s next family!

End of an era. We have been calling Sanibel our second home since 1994, first with my in laws lovely home and then with our own. My kids have grown up coming to Sanibel, there is no other place like it. We have made the decision to sell for many reasons, none of them easy to make. My heart is breaking a little bit and I already miss my birds. This is a great house, it deserves a fabulous family. The is going to be presenting an exhibition later this year, sharing images and experiences of the hurricane. They are accepting images from people affected by the storm in any way. Life continues to be unpredictable this year. A year and a half and we have still not been able to visit our lovely Sanibel getaway. Christmas is now not happening for us. So, looking at the positive in every situation, some wonderful, lucky family is going to be able to spend their 🎄 Christmas on Sanibel this year. A 5 bedroom home with a pool, hot tub and a private access to the beach ( across the street! ) is hard to come by on the island these days…and ours just opened up. I know. I know. Sanibel IS all about sunshine and shells, it really is. But it also has spectacular moments of beauty in it’s peacefulness as well. The beaches are so quiet in some areas that it does feel that it is just you and the waves and the wind. It is a wonderful place for finding some space and quiet.
