We are thrilled to share the first glimpses of the Green Gecko House rebirth, post-Hurricane Ian. The recovery journey has begun, and we are laying down the first steps towards a new foundation. 🛠️

Hi All! Thanks to everyone who has reached out and I'd like to clear up some confusion - the shop called "One Island Sanibel" that opened in Periwinkle Place is not ours and they are not affiliated with us. Most retail space, including our old one in Olde Sanibel Shoppes, is still under repair and not available, so we are considering different options including space that can accommodate our Beach Jeep rentals. I will keep you updated but in the meantime, I will have a Spring Break shirt available online soon! As always, I appreciate your support over these many years. You all have stood with us and helped us through all the trials and tribulations of having a shop on Sanibel - Hurricanes Irma and Ian, red tide, Covid etc. Many thanks for everything and hopefully we'll see you on island soon!
The City of Sanibel has opened limited beach parking today, Saturday, February 4, 2023. The City is thrilled to reopen the beaches as the island is slowly recovering from Hurricane Ian, which hit the shoreline of Sanibel on September 28, 2022.
