Look who is featured in Tripadvisor's WeekEnder newsletter! 👀😁
A gray whale calf has been visiting the Santa Barbara harbor over the past week. As our kayak tours run through the harbor and out past Stearn's Wharf, we've been fortunate to have several remarkable encounters with this amazing creature. 🐳
This isn't the first time a young gray whale has found itself in the harbor as they come in to eat around the muddy bottoms on their migration north.
This video was taken on our Sunset Tour over the weekend. Our marketing team was out taking photos of guests when the whale surfaced nearby and then came in for a closer look.
If you are ever lucky enough to be this close to a whale, please give it some space. If they approach you, you don't need to flee, but please don't move towards them yourself any closer than 300ft.
