In the opening round of the 2011 Valero Texas Open, Kevin Na cards a 16 on the par-4 9th hole at the AT&T Oaks Course.

Bradder Golf congratulates Jason Bohn on his superb performance in winning the New Orleans Zurich Classic. I had the pleasure of playing with Jason at the 2007 Nissan Open pro am at Riviera Country Club. At that event Jason gave me some of the best advice I have ever received on a golf course.

After playing the front nine holes 8 over par, we walked up the stairs from the 18th green and Jason looked at me and told me to play my own game and quit trying to play his. I did so and shot 1 under on the back nine.


In golf and life, play your own game, not your competitors.

Jason Bohn picked up his second-career tour win in style, knocking a wedge to within inches of the cup on the 18th hole to finish off a two-shot win at the Zurich Classic.

Here's a good definition of sportsmanship... "Brian Davis called a two-stroke penalty on himself to give Jim Furyk a victory at the Verizon Heritage on Sunday.
Davis, an Englishman who's never won on the PGA Tour, used a birdie on the 72nd hole to force the extra hole.

However, Davis' approach rolled off the green of the lighthouse hole and into some rocks.
As Davis attempted to chip on, his wedge moved a loose impediment. Davis quickly called for a rules official, who after checking the replay, confirmed the penalty.
Davis conceded to Furyk before the world's sixth-ranked player putted out.

CBS’s Jim Nantz echoed his “There it is, a win for the ages” declaration for Woods at the 1997 Masters when he said of Mickelson, “That’s a win for the family.”


It sounded scripted yet sounded right. Earlier, David Feherty, the on-course reporter, ad-libbed an even better comment when he noted that the pink ribbon Mickelson wore on his cap was “for his beautiful wife, Amy, and his beautiful mom,” who also received a diagnosis of breast cancer last year.

CBS tracked the scandal-tainted Tiger Woods until he faded, then it followed Phil Mickelson and a “win for the family.”

Bradder Golf was pleased to help manage and promote the Trinity Third Annual Golf Classic held Tuesday, March 30, at TPC Valencia. Raising over $15,000 for Trinity Classical Academy.

Proper attire consists of a collared shirt and slacks for gentlemen and blouse and slacks for women, and non metal spikes for all footwear. Bermuda length shorts are also permissible. T-shirts, work-type denim, running, bathing, and/or tennis attire are not appropriate forms of dress.
