It's almost track build time again here at the World Famous Hot Rod Hobbies!!! The date of this build is Sunday October 6, 2024 and this layout will be used for both our JBRL 1/10 and 1/8 finals!!! This time around it will be Anthony Westergaard from Factory Tracks who will be installing our new layout!!!

As usual WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!! Come out and spend the day helping with the track and earn yourself either a FREE month of club racing OR unlimited entries for one of the two JBRL finals!!!

Hey Hot Rod Hobbies faithful!!! It's time to revisit these rules as we have had a bunch of guys not following them lately, especially rule #1. Just a reminder, YOU MUST STOP BY THE HOBBY SHOP BEFORE ENTERING THE FACILITY TO PAY AND SIGN OUR WAIVER, PERIOD! For some reason guys feel the need to get set up at the track before walking up to the shop? There will be penalties in place, once again, for anyone we catch down at the track without signing in or paying your practice fee!!! It's a very simple concept, if you are planning on coming to Hot Rod Hobbies to practice, YOU MUST STOP BY THE SHOP BEFORE GOING TO THE TRACK!!! Very simple rule to follow!!! Now back to your regularly scheduled programming!

Hot Rod Hobbies Race Track Rules for Use

1. Please check in, pay and sign waiver in hobby shop before entering facility.
2. Track is ONLY open during hobby shop hours.
3. Always be courteous to your fellow hobbyist’s.
4. Look both ways before crossing lanes on the track.
5. NO CHILDREN should be on the track at any time to flip cars, only adults please.
6. DO NOT jump off of drivers stand, walk down the ramp please.
7. Please clean up after yourself, don’t leave trash or old parts on the tables or ground.
8. Don’t hang on ropes surrounding gutter please.
9. Don’t cross rope into gutters please.
10. If you use the water hose to water the track, please turn off valve when you are done.

It's Dirt Oval week and this weekend is our 2nd Annual Hot Rod Hobbies Dirt Oval Fall Shootout!!! We have spent weeks getting things ready and have received our awesome awards, t-shirts and raffle prizes this week! The track will be closed on Thursday for final preparations and will open for practice on Friday morning at 10am for a $15 practice fee! We got everything ready and all we need now is YOU!!! Don't forget, our 2nd Annual Hot Rod Hobbies Dirt Oval Fall Shootout is coming up next weekend!!! We are well underway with our preparations for the event as we have an amazing track, awesome awards, FREE t-shirt to each driver, custom podium banner, generous sponsors and a huge raffle including a brand new Traxxas Modified courtesy of Traxxas! We have spent a ton of time getting things ready for this event!!!

We showed up to this awesome chocolate cake this morning!!! Track is OPEN and we are racing tonight at 7pm with Sexy Leg 🦵 on the mic 🎤!

Track is open!!! To our surprise, we showed up to a perfect track this morning! Come on out and get laps before the rains come tonight!!!

Track update! Good news is that the weather forecast changed and the rain is now supposed to stop tomorrow night late. That means that we should be good for Dirt Oval at Hot Rod Hobbies on Friday night and possibly off-road on Saturday!!! We placed our pump before the rains started and this is what it looks like after running for now 24 hours straight. It will continue to run all night tonight and all day tomorrow. Mason Templeman will be out there on Wednesday to finish up with the big ass pump if anyone wants to come help!
