Ran a few pots today and the crabs were nice size and plentiful. The next couple days don't look fishable but the coming weekend looks okay. Winter weather can be unpredictable so plan ahead.

Good News !! Sport crab season opens Tomorrow Friday the 10th. We will be setting gear tomorrow and will be ready to load you up with dungeness goodness.

The announcement concerning the crab season opening was not greeted with enthusiasm by those of us who rely on crabbing as part of our income. The decision at this time is that after further assessment another decision will be announced on or about December 15. I'm invested in crab traps and have no desire to change to hoop nets or snares. I will be more than ready to go crabbing if it opens this year.

If you have not heard crabs are enjoying a little more time in the ocean this year. We are supposed to hear from NOAA fisheries on Monday regarding the much anticipated opener. I have crab traps rigged and ready. I'm not taking deposits for crab or crab combo trips until I know when the season will start.

Fished hard for one fish. Some days are tough.

Two of the three we put on Sunday. A "no show" left us with only two passengers but we enjoyed taking them fishing in spite of the "non profit" aspect.

Good grade of fish today. The wires hit the water tomorrow so we will see what that does to the sport fishing take. We will still be after them.
