I never built a fence before but this one's turning up pretty darn good and I have to say I feel a little butch ;). This new fence will block the neighbors from the yurt view as well as my house and it will stop their dogs from coming over and taking a crap on my property I hope...

I was very much enjoying my Thistle's Plant-Powered Community lunch today when I thought "this needs salt." While noticing how salt made my delicious lunch even better I thought "nobody really appreciates salt." It's true...nobody seems to appreciate the little things in life, like salt. Salt has such an amazing history and just think what your food would taste like without it...YUCK!
I knew from 4th grade (thanks Mr. Nelson) that salt was a very important trading spice in the olden days so I thought hmmm...what's the history of salt and I found this

Good morning Delicia! We've had a wonderful time staying in your beautiful yurt. And we would be more than happy to leave a little note in the guestbook mentioning all the things that we've done here and everything that we've enjoyed. We will be leaving in an hour or so after tidying the yurt and leaving all the windows open to make sure it's aired up. My daughter was wondering if you would allow her to pick up one of the gem stones from the little fairy wonderland in the wheelbarrow as a souvenir? Thank you for letting me know and if we don't see you before we leave, thank you so much for welcoming us in your you're a Californian paradise.
