I’m so excited to bring back our popular kids camp offerings for the 7th year.

🎣 FBA Day Camp
— Wednesdays in June & July, 12:30-4:30pm
— a 4-hour favorite for kids as young as age 5 who want to get out and enjoy an afternoon on the water fishing the Choctawhatchee Bay.

🎣 FBA Youth Masterclass
(new this year)
— select Sundays in June & July, 7am-1pm
— a 6-hour hands-on experience for young anglers age 10 and up who want to go beyond the basics. Led by Capt. Hunter, this extended excursion offers expert guidance and a fun day on the water.

So, the other day, a bunch of local guys piled onto my boat, all set to celebrate Mason’s 18th birthday together. Their energy was contagious, and it instantly took me back to my own teenage years.

I can’t explain the fish in the gas station trend, but…

Back then, my buddy Frankie and I were always up to something. One time, we spent the afternoon fishing and ended up with a whole bucket full of bass. Instead of just heading home, we got this wild idea to swing by the McDonald’s in Miramar Beach. Without thinking twice, we dumped all those bass into the fountain right out front. Because why not?

Man, you should’ve seen the looks on people’s faces. The manager wasn’t too thrilled, though, and let’s just say we weren’t exactly welcome to eat a cheeseburger there for a while.

Seeing Mason and his friends out there, laughing and making memories, reminded me of those carefree days. It’s good to see that, even with all the distractions today, the simple joy of hanging out with good friends and sharing a passion remains the same.

Moments like these are what it’s all about.

One of the few nights I’m not in flip flops…

Born and raised in this town, with roots 4 generations deep, I’ve seen it all—the ebb and flow of change, the highs of growth, and the challenges that come with it.

But through it all, one thing has never changed: visitors are an essential part of our community, keeping small businesses like mine alive and thriving. We treasure our locals, but we also know that tourism brings more than just people—it brings energy, opportunity, and support for our town.

That’s why it’s an incredible honor to be recognized by our community as a trusted guide in sharing this experience with others. When visitors come here, they have countless choices—where to stay, what to eat, where to shop, and, of course, whose boat to hop on. The fact that so many choose FBA is something we’ll never take for granted.

From me and the entire team at Florida Boy Adventures—thank you. We’re grateful for every trip booked, every fish caught, and every memory made. Here’s to many more.

From early mornings on the water to peaceful sunsets along the coast, every adventure we take is a reminder of the freedoms we enjoy every day – all made possible by our veterans.
