📣 Travel Update (3 of 3) 📣

Beginning on May 7th, 2025, the federal government will require your driver's license or ID card to be REAL ID compliant if you plan to use it to board domestic flights or enter military bases/federal facilities. If you do not have a REAL ID by this time, you may use your passport to pass TSA airport checkpoints nationwide.

California Compliance with Federal REAL ID Act Requirements Under the REAL ID Act, the California DMV must meet requirements set by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security for its driver licenses and identification cards to be accepted for federal purposes.

Starting in 2025, the European Commission is planning to roll out the European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS) for citizens of countries that currently have visa-free access to European Union countries (eg. United States). All travelers, regardless of age, will need to have an ETIAS to visit EU countries. Although this ETIAS has not gone into effect yet, it is said to start in May of 2025. We will be updating our platform as we get more information on the official start date of this visa-waiver. The cost of the ETIAS is €7.

📣 Travel Update (1 of 3) 📣
Starting on January 8, 2025, anyone traveling with a passport from the United States will be required to have an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) to enter the UK for any reason, including transiting through a UK airport. This ETA is a mandatory, paid-for authorization to travel, with security clearance done in advance. Travelers will have to show that they have been issued an ETA to board an airplane bound for the United Kingdom.
We have linked the ETA application below, and the cost of the application is £10. Once it is issued, your ETA will be valid for two years or until the passport expires, whichever date comes first.

You may need a visa to come to the UK to visit, study or work.
