O’Learys Tiki Bar in Sarasota!
Bartender, Please Fill My Glass for Me 🍹🌅🍹
Twilight sunset reflections at O'leary's Tiki Bar & Grill on 7.27.22 in Sarasota, FL

I couldn't resist going for this last reflection photo last night with my 85mm lens across the water. I actually had a raging headache while I was taking this photo but I did not want to give up. I climbed down into a patch between the mangroves to set up my smaller tripod so it would fit. This is a 5 shot HDR long exposure landscape layered together.
Instead of going with some usual Jimmy Buffet or beach songs today I went with lyrics from one of my favorite Dave Matthews songs "Bartender." I didn't actually have any cocktails last night but when I was taking the photo I was pretending I was sitting at the bar with a nice umbrella drink with a good friend. I pushed through with this last series before I had to go home. Mostly, I think it was I had my hair in a giant pony tail for way too long and it gave me a headache. Bummer!
Every time I go to the bayfront I'm attracted to the Edison light bulbs reflecting from O'Leary's tiki bar on the water. I can't help myself. I'm attracted like a bug to light with Edison bulbs and lightning. I love twilights. It is when I really seem to come alive. I'm a night owl anyways. I'm usually awake every night from around 2AM-3AM - basically until the witching hour!
Lately, I have been missing sunsets and showing up right after it just went down. The 10-30 minutes after sunset is when the real magic of colors came out. I was a little late to this location after filming drone and my palm tree sunset photo. The good thing about twilight, its always good until the last drop, until the last call.
"If I go, before I'm old
Oh brother of mine, please don't forget me if I go
Bartender, please fill my glass for me
With the wine you gave Jesus
That set Him free after three days in the ground
Oh and if I die, yeah
Before my time
Oh, sweet sister of mine
Please don't regret me, if I die..." - Bartender by Dave Matthews
