Birds of East Africa commonly seen on a safari!

Secretary birds are such expert snake hunters that their scientific name Sagittarius serpentarius, means “the archer of snakes”.

Using their large feet and sharp talons they stamp on their prey and can kill a snake with a single blow!

Venomous snakes aren’t safe either as the secretary bird has protective scales on their legs and feet.
