We frequently see manatees, dolphins, exotic birds, crabs...too much to list. If you'd like we can also deliver a rental to your location, or one of our popular launch points. The owners/guides of Sea Life Kayak Adventures come from

science and conservation backgrounds and are members/volunteers of several environmental and wildlife organizations including Wildlife Education and Rehabilitation Center Inc (Wildlife Inc), Sarasota Bay Estuary Program, and the Save the Manatees Foundation founded by Jimmy Buffet. Sea Life Kayak Adventures believes in helping out the wildlife and environment directly. If you were directed to us by one of these groups, please let us know so that we can direct a donation to that particular group." Look at this beautiful Roseate Spoonbill we saw out on tour. Some interesting facts about this beautiful bird:

Their bill can range from around 6-8 inches long - it helps catch small fish, crustaceans, and aquatic insects.

Their feathers are a distinctive pink and red color - the color comes from carotenoid pigments in the food they eat. Depending on age and breeding status, they can appear more pale or bright reddish.

They grow to about 32 inches tall with a wingspan approaching 50 inches.

They nest colonially in trees and mangroves, often alongside other wading birds. Breeding pairs build nests out of sticks high up, where the female lays 3-5 eggs.
