To all my family and friends who live in the Sarasota area. My mother currently resides in a Memory Care center in Sarasota called Amira Choice. They recently lost there Executive Director, Director of Memory Care, and Head nurse. We stuck it out to give them a chance to replace these employees only to be served notice yesterday that my mom’s rent/care will go from $6,300 a month to $11,600. An 85% increase!! They raised her rent by $200 a month and now want $5,000+ for her care. Her “care level” has not changed since living there. Individuals on fixed income can’t afford this. Obviously she is being forced to leave. Please pass onto all of your family and friends and make sure your family or friends are not subject to this facility’s unfairness.
