The native American scene in Peter Pan’s Flight was updated during the six week closure to be more culturally accurate. It also now includes a turntable mechanism to add some kinetic energy to the scene! 😀

I found these beautiful photos we took of Sawyer getting his very first haircut in Magic Kingdom back in 2018 & my whole heart is wavering in emotion. I can’t believe he is 7 years old now. 🥹 I will cherish this moment and every single Disney moment for my entire life. Did you know you could get your kiddos hair cut in MK?!

Epcot’s new CommuniCore Hall is open for all day character meet and greets, Dance with Bruno & Mirabel at Celebration Encanto, and More!

Mickey & Friends a new character location is also open! The new location, found adjacent to CommuniCore Hall, is the new spot for guests wanting to meet Mickey Mouse and other Disney pals. The location officially opened on June 10, 2024. The new location is easy to find and clearly marked. It fits nicely with the theme of the World Celebration neighborhood that is now complete.

Are you excited for all these finished changes to Epcot?!

Over the past few years at Walt Disney World, new attractions open with a virtual queue instead of a regular standby line.

Currently, both Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT and TRON Lightcycle Run at Magic Kingdom operate with a virtual queue. Virtual queues will also be in place for TRON at both Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. And at the newly announced Disney Jollywood Nights at Hollywood Studios, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will operate using a virtual queue, as well. Opening Oct. 16, Journey of Water ~ Inspired by Moana could utilize a virtual queue as needed for peak crowds, such as opening day.

Disney World virtual queues free up time to enjoy the rest of the park (no standing in a six-hour line!). The difficulty is that virtual queues have historically been known to fill up in seconds, so you need to be timely in the morning or afternoon when snagging one. And you only get 1 per ride per day and can only be in one queue at a time.

When VQ Boarding Groups are in use, you’ll need the Disney World: My Disney Experience app as part of the virtual queue. We recommend downloading the app from your smartphone's app store before your trip so you are set and ready to utilize all its offerings from Genie+ to VQ to seeing where characters and rides are and wait times. The app is super helpful. Make sure it is up to date as well, especially the night before you need to snag a VQ at 7amET.

It’s also very important to add your entire party to your Family and Friends list within the app so that everyone can join the Boarding Group at the same time. If you have me set up your reservation with your Disney login, you’re good to go. If you opt to do that all on your own, then double check you have everyone linked that you are traveling with. Each member of your party must have a My Disney Experience account and be linked in your Family and Friends list, or be a guest on your reservation (such as small children or other people in your room who don’t want their own account) which means you already manage on your account. Only guests with valid admission and a Disney Park Pass reservation for the correct theme park are able to access the virtual queue system at 7 a.m. on the day of their reservation. So if your park reservation is for MK that day you can’t snag a VQ at Epcot.

𝗛𝗢𝗪 𝗧𝗢:

Head to the Virtual Queue section on the Home Screen and tap "Join" at the designated times. For Guardians, you can try to join the virtual queue at 7 a.m. (from anywhere) and 1 p.m. (must be inside EPCOT). For TRON, you can try to join the virtual queue at 7 a.m. (from anywhere) and 1 p.m. (must be inside Magic Kingdom).
You get TWO Chances to get in a VQ for the ride of choice. But can only ride once with the VQ. So if you get in at 7am, you cannot get in VQ again at 1pm when it opens. If you miss 7am then you can try for and hopefully get 1pm.

On the nights with Extended Evening Hours, guests staying at eligible deluxe hotels and ont deluxe hotels, may attempt to join the virtual queue for either Cosmic Rewind or TRON at 6 p.m. from anywhere. You must have valid admission and either have the correct park reservation or have park hopping abilities and already hopped to your first park.

Boarding Groups do not guarantee you will be able to ride (the attraction gets through a different number of boarding groups each day due to ride closures, technical difficulties, etc.)

If utilizing the Disability Access Service (DAS), all members of the party must join a Boarding Group first. Then speak to a cast member at the attraction for the rest of the process.

Disney recommends selecting one member of your party to access the virtual queue. If multiple people try simultaneously, that may complicate your ability to secure a Boarding Group.

𝗧𝗜𝗣𝗦 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗦𝗨𝗖𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗦 𝗪𝗜𝗧𝗛 𝗩𝗤:

✨I know it’s early but on an MK or Epcot morning set your alarm for no later than 6:30am and CONFIRM your party in the VQ area at that time so you’re ready to go.
✨ Designate ONE PERSON in your travel party to try for VQ.
✨In the morning, set an alarm on your phone for 6:55 a.m. and 12:55 p.m. for the afternoon if you didn’t get the morning VQ.
✨Make sure you have a good signal. We recommend turning off Wi-Fi and using data if in the park.
✨ At 1 minute out begin refreshing or going in and out of VQ very quickly and consistently. That Join Virtual Queue pops up fast. Usually about 6:59:45am I have found. Click it FAST and it will give you a boarding number. If you miss it, try at 12:59pm!
✨For the 1 p.m. timeframe, all party members must have entered the park to be eligible to join.
✨Have your push notifications on and keep an eye on the app, as you only have a one-hour return window and may need to jump to the queue quickly.
✨Bring a portable charger to ensure your phone lasts all day. This is very necessary!

The annual Christmas tree has arrived at Magic Kingdom, along with other holiday decorations in Town Square and Main Street, U.S.A. stores. 🎄 PhotoPass photographers are usually stationed at the base of the tree, which is surrounded by giant presents. Photographers on Main Street will also turn around to take guest photos with the tree behind them.

Big news out of Walt Disney World Resort‼️ Beginning Jan. 9, 2024, guests with a ticket with Park Hopper benefits or an Annual Pass will be able to once again visit another theme park at ANY TIME OF DAY during park hours (subject to capacity limitations). As a reminder, since returning in 2021, Park Hopper access has only been available after 2 p.m. each day. Now, there will be no more waiting – YOU can decide when it’s time to visit another park.

I cannot wait to start my morning on a safari at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park before heading over to EPCOT to grab a taco and a margarita at my favorite lunch spot, La Cantina and go Soarin’! Or kick off the day with a ride on Slinky Dog at Disney’s Hollywood Studios before hopping over to Magic Kingdom Park to catch the Festival of Fantasy parade and find some spooks on Haunted Mansion.

My favorite memories at Disney World with my kids are the days when we “rope drop” early in the morning at one park of our choice and make back to MK in time to see our favorite fireworks on Main Street, U.S.A. We can all enjoy that again, soon!

Let’s talk Memory Maker & the benefits of PhotoPass photographers! ✨ Memory Maker is an add on to your Disney vacation that allows you all your ride photos & all photos taken by the Disney photographers in the parks in high resolution to download unlimited for 30 days (they then get deleted from the system so always get your downloads).

Do not opt out of this add on because you could miss out on amazing moments. I include it on every clients vacation package for a very important purpose. There are PhotoPass photographers in front of entrances and the castle, in gardens, and really all over. You can find them using the map on the MDE app! They’re at some character meets (not all) along with the PhotoPass mirrors that do the photo taking for you! You can ask for magic photos and they do sometbing fun! This is especially important for us, moms and dads who are always behind the camera and don’t ever find a way to get in front of it. Now you can be included in your family’s Disney memories as you should be. ❤️❤️

We just kicked it off, the traveler favorite event of the year, EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival which combines our love for Disney, food and wine. Honestly, what could be better than hopping around World Showcase and sampling new foods and drinks? This year's festival runs from July 27 through Nov. 18, 2023. With delicious food and drink, fun kids' activities, renowned entertainment and themed merchandise, there's something for everyone at this popular event. If you’re traveling to Disney and going to Epcot during this time frame you definitely want to check this post out!

✨ For the most part, kiosk food prices usually run between $4 and $9, with beverages varying from $3 to $10. ✨

All of these marketplaces take credit and debit cards, but we find it's easier to use our MagicBands if you’re a resort guest.

We're also fans of purchasing an official festival gift card for the day, available at several merchandise locations around EPCOT. These mini-sized gift cards include a wearable plastic band so that you can swipe and go! Set your limit at the outset, and these gift cards keep you on a budget. They also make a fun souvenir and let you enjoy all of the food and drinks you want until you reach the end.

New for 2023, we are very excited that the Brew-Wing marketplace is "Muppet"-themed this year! Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker of Muppet Labs invite you to their taste-tasting headquarters. Be sure to try culinary experiments such as the Peanut Butter and Jelly Sticky Wings or the Pickle Milkshake. Eat it for science! There are lots of new food and drink items!
