Today's rental: Frogs Pearl Station

This charming gingerbread cottage is a true gem. Listed in the National Register of Historic Places, Frogs Pearl Station packs a lot of history into a small space.

A former Mississippi Judge and Senator, John William Kyle, used this building as his personal law office from 1919 until 1965. Early in his career, Kyle was the Mayor of Sardis, which inspired the naming of a park you may have visited--John W. Kyle State Park.

The building has retained its original charm and heart-of-pine floors. Anyone who stays here can feel the history contained in its walls. Over the years it's housed a coffee shop and bakery, remote office spaces, and hosted a wedding reception.

Mississippi will have more natives playing in the 2023 Super Bowl than any other state, according to Mississippi Today. How's that for some awesome game day conversation?

Writer Rick Cleveland says, "Eight native-born Mississippians dot the rosters of the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs, who will play Feb. 12 in Glendale, Ariz.

"Mississippians who play for the Philadelphia Eagles include All Pro defensive tackle Fletcher Cox and running back Kenneth Gainwell, both of Yazoo City; quarterback Gardner Minshew of Brandon; wide receiver A.J. Brown of Starkville and linebacker Nakobe Dean of Horn Lake.

"Mississippians who play for Kansas City include All Pro defensive tackle Chris Jones of Houston, Willie Gay of Starkville and linebacker Darius Harris of Horn Lake."
